Opration Chaos II

Fresh on the heels of Operation Chaos, in which Rush Limbaugh encouraged GOP voters to cross over and vote in the Democratic Primaries for the trailing Democratic candidate, Limbaugh has announced the outlines of Operation Chaos II:

“One of my next objectives is to try and convince Republicans to cross over and vote for McCain down the road,” he quipped.

Good luck with that, Rush!

Via Politico with a hat tip to Hot Air

Comments

Nice find!

RGraves, will not be voting for McCain?

I imagine that Rush Limbaugh will probably not have too much difficulty reaching his base, despite the antagonism felt towards McCain.

Just the mere suggestion that its an “Operation” gives one the sense that Limbaugh is dispatching his instructions to his little (mindless) minions.

my wife is going to vote for janus mccain. i think he’s the least pathetic of the three we’ve been hearing about and will probably select the least pathetically corrupt cabinet. i can say that without saying very much. i am waiting for them to add the ‘none of the above’ option so that i can actually vote for who i want to be president.

Sparkie Arbuckle on May 11, 2008 at 07:10 pm

I laughed pretty hard when I heard Rush say that last week.  McCain will probably get my vote unless he goes off the deep end again with his NC “out of touch with reality comment.”

A political party cannot be all things to all people. It must represent certain fundamental beliefs which must not be compromised to political expediency, or simply to swell its numbers.

Only in your prejudiced mind.  Rush never gives orders; he makes factual and logical arguments, and acting on facts and logic is the exact opposite of “mindless”.
Once again, you get it wrong.

Rush never gives orders;

Rush Limbaugh: Greetings my friends. Greetings special operatives and commandos....commandos, operatives, reporting that they have followed orders and fulfilled their duty.

Listener: Rush, at 8:15 am this morning I voted for Hillary Clinton in the Indiana primary. It was tough. I showered twice, I threw up a little in my mouth, but I did it. It was an honor to follow your orders.

You are wrong.

dirl126 on May 11, 2008 at 10:19 pm
dirl126 on May 11, 2008 at 10:23 pm

You are wrong.

Not only are you wrong, but you lack a sense of humor.
Rush is constantly poking fun at humorless fools like you.  You took the bait, and so did Arianna and all the rest of the humor-challenged lefties.
Rush makes effective arguments; he has no authority over his listeners.  Are you really that stupid?

"If the good men are silent only the wicked are heard.” - Edmund Burke

robert108 on May 11, 2008 at 10:45 pm

I just proved you wrong, and then you change the subject by saying I have no humor?  Typical leftie double-standard!

Hahahaha

Not only am I right, but I’m mocking you! Now THATS a sense of humor!

; D

Even funnier, I just proved you wrong on your double-standard because I thought THAT was funny, so I do have a sense of humor.

Once again, you are wrong.

dirl126 on May 11, 2008 at 11:00 pm

"Rush never gives orders”

vs.

“I did it. It was an honor to follow your orders.”

Simple, indisputable, hard evidence.

Have the last say on this post R108, I cant’ prove your statement any more wrong.

Plus, I never said they were mindless, I just said his use of the label “operation” gave one the sense of them mindlessly following his orders.  You took my words out of context, typical leftie movie!

dirl126 on May 11, 2008 at 11:09 pm

...mindlessly following his orders.

They “seem” mindless to you, because you are projecting your own consciousness onto others.
Your words, which show your contempt for the American people.  Rush has no way to compel anyone to do anything he says, which is why he jokingly uses the term “orders”.  You just don’t have the intellectual acumen to recognize the difference between humor and seriousness.  Rush makes compelling arguments, because he tells the truth.  He accomplishes that by making sure of his facts before he speaks.  You might try that sometime.

"If the good men are silent only the wicked are heard.” - Edmund Burke

robert108 on May 11, 2008 at 11:22 pm

Once again, you are wrong.

Nope.  Rush always makes fun of tight-assed lefties like you, who are always ready to assign the adjective “mindless” to his listeners.  No double standard at all; it was always a joke, but you are unable to get it.  I actually feel sorry for you.

Once again, demonstrate the mechanism by which Rush can compel anyone to follow his “orders”.  You made the claim, now back it up with some evidence.
Once again, how does he make anyone follow his orders, even if he was serious about it, which he isn’t.

Limbaugh is dispatching his instructions to his little (mindless) minions.

Limbaugh is an entertainer. He’s playing with the heads of the humorless drones on the Left. Limbaugh’s audience has been proven to be above average in education and intelligence, and knows that Rush’s tongue is planted firmly in his cheek when he gives “orders”.

Dirl, I disliked Operation Chaos.  It smacked of lack of respect for the voting system and poking a stick into the barrel of monkeys for fun seems wrong to me.  That and it seemed to be Rush flexing to see how much power he has.  Self serving and arrogant.

Operation Chaos II is more classic Rush, when he and his audience are having fun with the whole mess.  Good times.

It is one of the (very) few allowed interfaces between the FOUO NIPRnet and the SECRET SIPRnet (and other classified DoD networks we’ll not mention here).

jack,

I believe if you read back through this thread carefully, you’ll see that the name-calling started with your very own “childish tantrum” about “delusional rednecks.”

Of course, the truth is no one much minds the insults and vile ad hominem that spew so regularly from those of you on the Left, especially the self-styled “progressives.” It’s pretty much expected in any case.  But it would be a refreshing change if just once in a while you were adult enough to be honest about your vindictiveness.  I realize that’s not the level of integrity you’re accustomed to.  But it might prove to be worth your effort, if only for the shock value.

Why is it that conservatives only start whining about personal attacks after they have spewed all the insults, made all the attack ads, and done all the namecalling they want to? If a liberal responds in kind you all run to your mommas.

jack on May 14, 2008 at 04:24 pm

jack,

I doubt that anyone else would see it as you describe...especially as the dialog is right there for all to read.  The first insult was yours.  No doubt about it.

As for Rush’s audience, I see that you are incorrect there as well.  Proof’s specific assertion was that they are of above average intelligence and education, though I will grant those characteristics go naturally hand-in-hand with being well informed.

Look, you’re not the first “progressive” to try and bully his way into prominence here.  Nor will you be the last.  It is telling, if not particularly surprising, that you would spend so much effort arguing to no avail about the intelligence of Rush’s audience with so many obviously intelligent, well-informed members of Rush’s audience.

Why not choose a topic with which you have some familiarity and some modest chance of actually winning an argument instead?  Watching you piss into the wind is amusing from over here, but it can’t be doing much for either your wardrobe or your complexion.
