On the road to Halifax

Well, today was day two of our trip.  We spent last night in Bemidji.  I had this great idea that I would take pictures of points of interest and post them here.  So I took pictures of the headwaters of the Mississippi River and Paul Bunyon and Babe.  Then as I was looking at all the options on my new camera I erased them.  When we were about 50 miles down the road.

We didn’t get far today.  Just to Minneapolis where we spent four hours in a traffic jam because of an accident.  If I lived in a big city I’d have to stay home all the time.  I can’t stand the traffic.

The biggest thing we accomplished today is I bought the material for Rob’s little girl’s flower girl dress.  That was a big load off my mind.

We’re off again tomorrow.  Hopefully I’ll have some interesting pictures tomorrow night.

The weather and roads were awful yesterday but today was a pretty day.  Lots of sunshine.  We listen the satellite radio to get the weather as we go east.  The reports are for good weather.  Highs in the 60’s.

Keep at it, Ma. You will get the hang of it. I smashed my first digital camera! That is why I bought a cheap one to start with. Now I use an HP 402 for work pictures and out in the woods, Wifey has a Cannon and likes it. Though she does not take very many pics. In fact, it stays in the dock so much the batteries keep crapping out. Good luck! And hope your drive gets better, I hate being stuck in traffic, too!

Thanks 2H9.  Just looked out the hotel window and the sun is shining.  This time I got a Kodak Easy Share.  It is really easy to use.  I knew if I did what I did, I would erase the pictures but my finger didn’t follow my brain’s instructions.

At first I thought Rob was going out trick or treating as a flower girl but now I get it. I’ve never been to Halifax but I have a sister living there and she likes it. Have a safe trip!

Halifax! That is really, really, really far from anything. Its even far from the potato fields in northern Maine that are really far from anything.

I like far places.  I’ve never been to Maine.  That’s the last of the states that I have yet to visit.  I’m looking forward to it.

Say hi to Skowhegan, Maine on the way by. I have some family up near there. Most of my mom’s side is from Maine. Me, I still need to go to Washington, Arizona, Mississippi, Alabama, and Arkansas. Other than that I’m covered.

Will do Sparkie.  If we go through there I’ll take a picture and post it here.

I’d get a real kick out of that. Thanks Carol.
