OK,  Rush, Glen, Sean, Listen up!

As talk-show hosts, entertainers after ratings, devout defenders of consersative principle or loud-mouthed threats to a republican victory in November - depending on one’s point of view - you have had your say on John McCain. Some would argue that you have bloviated about little else in the last month.

I’m going to give you the benefit of the doubt: that you were taking the high road and genuinely believed that John McCain would would do irreparable harm to conservatism and the nation were he picked as the GOP standard bearer. Fair enough.

Well, thats all changed now. It will be Senator John McCain vs. Hillary Clinton or Barack Obama in the race to the White House; a race that will determine who, as Commander In Chief and President, wages war on extremist jihad; moves the Supreme Court and the federal bench further to the left or the right; puts the brakes on a liberal congress’s insatiable appetite for money and power; speaks for the Republic’s most cherished values.

You, gentlemen, for the sake of the nation, and not for the sake of ratings, your egos or in defense of your anti-McCain litanies, must now decide what the content of your future airtime will be. Choose wisely.

Please don’t opine in one breath that whatever happens is not your fault, and then turn around and boast that multi-millions of Americans look to you for guidance. You can’t have it both ways.

Please don’t argue that there is no difference between John McCain and the liberals. There clearly is. Fred thompson, in his endorsement of McCain on Friday, said it best, "Its about our country."

Please don’t boast that conservatives don’t want him or trust him. Many, many of us do. Not all, but many. Mitt Romney, in his withdrawal speech, said it was about winning the war.

And yes, admit that, at every opportunity, it is a legitimate conservative principle to prevent liberalism from expanding its power, and a vote for John McCain will do just that!

You may have doubts about what Senator McCain will accomplish, but you can have no doubt whatever about what his opponents will do if either of them becomes President!

The time has come to turn your guns on the real targets, Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama. That is where we - and the nation - need you now!
