Obama Messiah?

This election cycle has given me several, “See I told you so,” moments. I suggested some time ago we do NOT want Obama as the Democrat candidate, because he has a Messiah image that will be virtually impossible to defeat.

SEATTLE – If the messiah were to schedule a mid-workday appearance on short notice at Seattle’s Key Arena, one could hardly expect much more than the 18,000 passionate souls who waited in line for hours before pressing the sports venue to its capacity yesterday, forcing several thousand more to be turned away.

Jody Klein of Centralia, Wash., about two hours-drive south of Seattle, was near tears as she recounted her Obama experience. At age 20, she’ll vote in a presidential election for the first time.

“There’s just this amazing excitement that’s here,” she said. “When he was talking about hope, it actually almost made me cry. Like it really made sense, like, for the first, like, whoa … how important a time this is for us. It was really exciting.”

The left has long dreamed of returning to a Camelot that never was and find a reincarnated JFK, MLK, Ghandi and Jesus to worship and support. Minorities, especially blacks see Obama as as the Minority Messiah, he will save them all from the tyranny of whitey! He will make the evil rich share their far too much income with the poor, especially minorities.

These people are looking for a march down Pennsylvania Avenue where their reincarnated JFK will deliver a MLK “I have a 21st Century Dream” speech that promises to end racism that is almost non-existent, he will end the almost depression era poverty that is almost non-existent (FDR), he will deliver full employment to a nation at virtual full employment.

If Obama gets the nomination the POTUS will be a virtual lock, and I do not see a scar faced, short, old white man that will be painted as the friend of the rich and a good old white boy defeating him.

Like it really made sense, like, for the first, like, whoa

if only it actually did make sense instead of feigning it, approximating it, or whatever this use of ‘like’ is attempting to signify.

Realitybasedbob: Your comments are meaningless blather. You may think your are quite erudite, but when trying to deliver a message, to communicate with others, if your eruditeness is, as it usually is with you, unclear, then perhaps you should be a little less erudite and strive for a little more clarity. Otherwise, you are simply sucking up air that would be better used by someone that can add something to the conversation.

I don’t know. The young ones just getting their feet politically wet are some of the most fired up ones you’ll meet. Obama has a lot of young supporters surrounding him, as you have pointed out before. This kind of excitement comes with that territory.

That explanation doesn’t explain all of Obama’s excited support, but it does a good chunk of it.

He’s black. And liberals are hyped about electing a black man to stick it to the racists. That explains the rest.

It’s all political bullshit. Liberals (and Robert108) lie and spin and twist and obscure and distract and cheat to protect their guys and hurt the opposing team. It’s like wrestling. They distract the ref while their team mate hits you with a chair. There’s no rule they won’t break, no law they won’t skirt, no crime they won’t forgive as long as they can win.

Hey Jack - Neiman is quite capable of telling you in his own words why he supports or doesn’t support each candidate and position. He doesn’t need Rush to do his talking.

I suspect you already know this. Maybe you’re too weak to take his arguments head on? It looks that way.

What has suprised me is that many Republicans are supporting Obama. They may fall into the ‘young’ or ‘minority’ categories you alluded to, I don’t have any data; but assuming you are right and I have no reason to doubt it, add to those passionate young people, hard core liberals and not a few Independents and Moderate Republicans, doesn’t that still mean he may be unbeatable if he can wrest the nomination away from the Hildabeast?

That explanation doesn’t explain all of Obama’s excited support, but it does a good chunk of it.

That not only explains the stupidity of much of the left and the blind following the blind, it explains a great deal of what has gone on from the right.

It isn’t the gray hairs that were duped (mine is not however despite being SS qualified but not collecting, I make too much money).

Oh it’s easy to make fun and call someone politically ignorant.  If you could see yourselves as some see you it wouldn’t be nearly as clean cut.

Age has the advantage of history lived and experience had.  Experience trumps theory every time.

Obama’s followers are about to find that out.

There are some old saying that still hold:
No man is truly an adult until he is 30, never truly a man till he is 40, not truly wealthy till he is 50 and only ready to lead when he is 60.

I don’t know if that still holds.  I do wonder why the founding fathers put that age limit thingy in for senate (30) and the President (35).  Maybe they recognize that immaturity left or right is dangerous in policy and politics.

Might be time to hold the venom, it’s pointless.  You have no idea how little you really know.  I’m not impressed with big educations.  I have seen what our school systems put out today. If you can sit up and take nourishment you can get an A.

So, hang in there, I will.  I will ask this one question, if you are your own best counsel, which I perceive you believe you are, who do you trust for wisdom, who would you point to for someone to rely upon for balance to your own opinion.

If that question is hard to answer, you haven’t grown up yet.  I have faith you will and will look back on all this as youthful bluster.  At least that’s how I see it.

Gene: While I respect you and we share many beliefs in common, I think you were unduly harsh on Lkwidshoe. I didn’t read anything he said in his comments above that justify them. Likwidshoe and I have had our verbal tussles, but in all honesty I think you were far too harsh based on any of his comments above.

Of course, you have the right to say what you want and we’ll continue to share many beliefs; but I would hope you would reconsider.

The only kind of excitement I see on the right that comes close to matching what Obama and his supporters have comes from the Ron Paul camp.

Oh it’s easy to make fun and call someone politically ignorant.  If you could see yourselves as some see you it wouldn’t be nearly as clean cut.

Hmm… You know, just out of curiosity, I Googled it.
The only time I’ve ever used that phrase. *shrug*

Age has the advantage of history lived and experience had.  Experience trumps theory every time.

No it doesn’t. Many people never learn from experience. Witness: the Democrats.

You have no idea how little you really know.

A universal statement that universally applies to all in the universe.

if you are your own best counsel, which I perceive you believe you are…

Counsel held with oneself is just someone talking to himself. If that were the case, I wouldn’t be talking with you.

If that question is hard to answer, you haven’t grown up yet.  I have faith you will and will look back on all this as youthful bluster.

If you wonder why I, and others I suspect, have been getting ruder with you, this attitude right here is it.

Gene, your former optimism has been replaced by a severe case of pessimism and a dollop of presumptuousness.

Neiman,

I think you were unduly harsh on Lkwidshoe. I didn’t read anything he said in his comments above that justify them.

I agree, based on the comments above you are correct.

But we don’t live in a vacuum blogwise.  There has for some reason that probably escapes me a continued meanness from Liq for me that I don’t understand.  I won’t catalog them here.  I could.  It’s a pretty long list.  If you click on his comments you will see what I mean.

I’m a little like Popeye.  I can be pretty long suffering, but push too hard and   “I yam what I yam and I ain’t gonna takes it no more”.

I don’t have spinach, but I do have this keyboard and somewhat of my wits still about me.

I can (and do) go nose to nose and toe to toe with him.  I can also engage in ad hominim attack as well as the he does.  I try not to.  But, He (Liq) keeps pushing and pushing.

He knows who I am and what I believe or don’t believe. He doesn’t agree with me.  OK, so what.  I have the right and responsibility to stand up for what I believe without being cruel.  That can go both ways.

I don’t do that as well at that as Reality Based Bob does.  He’s more clever than I.

I have asked that we call a truce on mean talk, Liq and I.  What’s the point?  No one wins.

I’m absolutely serious about the need for us to stop this “Messiah” the left has found.  He is almost Anti-Christ in his appeal.

We have to do what we can and together we can do more than we can separately.  We are too far separately right now.

I spend some time on other blogs trying to make the same point.  Some of them are lefty.  I get kicked off or not published.

They don’t much like controversy.  I have think skin, but sometimes it gets too much to take and I strike back.

Sorry Liq, I’ll be nicer.  Turnabout would at this point be fair play for both of us.

I’m not ready to flee to the mountains just yet. However, I would say that Obama’s does resemble the biblical antichrist. Even so, may I suggest that you go to my website at http://www.prophecycodebook.com and begin to learn what I learned several years ago after using the Hebrew language and the number 2520 as the key to unlocking bible prophecy. I will say this, I found that the Hebrew language translates the sin of Lucifer “ascend” from Isaiah 14 into the word Allah, and that the feet and toes of king Nebuchadnezzer’s great image from Daniel 2 (depicting the final gentile world power) translates the words “mix” and “mingle” into the word Arab.
