Not so broke

Despite the lamentations of our resident military non-expert cut and paste specialist, it seems things are not so grim for the Armed Forces…

USMC Overrun By Recruits
By Jim Dunnigan
Strategy Page

May 7, 2008:  The U.S. Marine Corps has had more success than expected in attracting recruits, and has moved up the date for completing their current expansion. Last year, Congress ordered the marines to expand their strength from the current 181,000 to 202,000. At first, the marines thought it would take them four years to do it. But between the large number of recruits, and the many current marines who are staying in, the expansion will be accomplished by next year.

I’d not bet against Dunnigan…

Military always does well when the economy tanks.

Lestat,

That

might

explain an increase in new recruits… if the economy had actually “tanked” as you accuse.

But of course it has not, and you have no explanation to offer for the increased retention figures of America’s front line warriors.

Bat One,

I think lestat has become jealous of “blackwater"boob and Eunichized and is trying to prove it can be just as stupid and mendacious.

Rodney,

I don’t believe Lestat has either RBB’s lazy glibness, or Hannitized tiresome, almost pedantic enthusiasm.  Reason enough to be jealous of them both.

l think that lestat doesn’t believe that there are people that are willing to dedicate their livee for love of country.  I’m pretty sure that lestat is not one of them.

Being liberal is never having to admit you’re wrong

Rod, thank you for that cut and pasted article.

Rod, thank you for that cut and pasted article.

What’s your point, bob? That’s all you do!

Those who think the party or the country, will be “taught a lesson” by handing the levers of power over to the liberals will learn a lesson, but it will be at the expense of our country and her liberties. And there are no guarantees that the party or the country will come out stronger, more conservative or better positioned to win elections against the incumbent liberals.

Cut and paste?

I looked over Huff Po Bob, aka DoubleStandardBob’s last thirty or so posts, and every single one of them was cut and paste. The only thing that bob wrote was the headlines!
Huff Po Bob must be looking to set a new world’s record for hypocritical statements in one blog!

DimWitBob: Rodney wrote more commentary in the two lines that accompanied his article than you put forth in your last thirty posts.
I’d call you lazy, but I suspect that it’s all your intellect could add to them!

But, then...you’re a liberal. So, I guess that’s all we should expect!

I guess I will have to explain it to poof.

You see poof, Rod wrote:

Then Rod cut and pasted the article he found about the MC.

I pointed this out.

You missed the point.

No, Huff Po, you missed the point. Rodney added two lines of comments to his. For at least the last thirty drive-by posts you’ve made, zero, zip, nada comments - only cut and paste.
Rodney’s point was apt, yours, as always is MIA.

Got this from Stragety Page (enjoyed the misspelling so left it.)

http://www.strategypage.com/htmw/htatrit/articles/20080509.aspx

Explains the reality of combat medical waivers that are hitting the news now.

An article some time back discussed the number of troops medically discharged for BMI (everyone should weigh 140.) Upper echelon had to scramble to fix that cluster of activity.

Marines represent something you can believe in, take to the bank.  They have integrity and honor, something liberals know nothing about.  There still are enough good men who believe in the freedoms that many here have fought for, put their lives on the line for and believe in.  Economy?  Nem.  Honesty. Ja.

Before someone posts a link to two supposedly throwing a stuffed dog, lets try and focus on the 95%.  Here is a link to some facts.  Only 27% of the general population are even eligible to quality to apply for military service!

RZ are you saying that there are no liberal Marines?

FlyOnTheWall.  There was a new standard introduced that combines the old “weight” charts with physical fitness standards, something the newsmedia fails to explain (of course)—instead they “create” a faux story of how GIs are “overweight” Glad to discuss this with you.  I’ll be here for about another 30 mins.
