Nobel Economist: The recession is over.
Interesting counter note from Nobel Prize winner Gary Becker:
At the ripe age of 78, Nobel economist Gary Becker finds himself the pin-up hero for libertarians around the world convinced that massive government response to the Great Contraction of 2008-2009 is not only unnecessary but almost certainly a threat to economic freedom as well.
This is pretty much what I’ve been saying… Obama has proven to be very ham-handed in the implementation of his economic policies, including his economic stimulus package. Since these were all wrong-headed in my opinion, I admit a bit of a sigh of relief—In an odd way his incompetency has proven a boon for our economy.
Great job, Barrack!
