“Must See TV"- Brit Hume Grills Dem SuperDelegates on FNS

First segment on Fox News Sunday this AM, was Brit Hume interviewing two Democrat SuperDelegates: One from Michigan, one from Florida.

Watching the sparks (and hypocrisy) fly among the “let every vote count” crowd is entertaining to say the least!

First off, the FL SuperDelegate (FLSD) blamed the Republicans for disenfranchising Floridian Democrats! (Geez! And people get crabby here when I recycle old jokes!) She got quite snippy when Brit Hume had the audacity to interrupt her diatribe against Republicans in the FL legislature to remind her that a Democrat had introduced the bill proposing the primary date change and the bill passed unanimously (for all you public school educated Kool-Aid® drinkers, that means NO Democrat voted against it!)

The FLSD (one man, one vote) spoke a lot about formulas for how to apportion the vote of people who had already voted to produce possibly a different outcome than the candidates they voted for. Huh? Those wasckelly Wepublicans sabotaged our primary (with our help and us leading the charge!) so now, it’s up to us unelected SuperDelegates to fathom the hanging of the chads and somehow divine how you should have voted! Right! One man, one vote! /sarcasm

Discussions of a “do over” brought an equally chilly reception from FLSD. Those would be mail-in ballots, which, horror of horrors, would require you to actually have a mailing address! (Thus disenfranchising the homeless: a major source of Democratic votes and/or voter fraud!) Also, in the words of FLSD, this would be “an experiment”. She emphasized that several times, as if moving the date of the primary were not “an experiment” as well!

Brit asked the Michigan SuperDelegate about the fairness of seating the Michigan delegation after a vote where Obama “playing by the rules” wasn’t even on the ballot. (As if that wouldn’t disenfranchise Democrats in MI that wanted to vote for BHO!) I challenge you to find an ounce of principle in any of their arguments! MISD would however, be jiggy with giving the state to Hillary if that were the final decision.

Very entertaining, enlightening (if you’re not familiar with the merry pranksters of the Democratic Party) and worth a watch. If you missed it because you forgot to set your clocks forward, I believe Fox repeats the show tonight.

Update: Captain Ed over at Hot Air adds the following:

The state Democratic parties in Florida and Michigan deliberately break the rules to bump up their primaries. The DNC and Howard Dean react by stripping them of all their delegates and demanding candidates stop campaigning in those states, but in Michigan failing to have all of them take their names off the ballot. Not only does it turn out that both states could have played a much more effective role if they had kept their original primary dates, but now they don’t have the money for proper do-overs.

And now? The same state that complained about the complexity of butterfly ballots and the computation of punch cards that had been in use for decades (with a ballot designed by Democrats) now wants to use an unprecedented, hand-managed mail-in election to ensure fairness in the nominating process.

Congresswoman Wasserman Schultz shoved Brit’s talking points back down his throat, he conceded the point and begrudgingly moved on.

Her point, the point, was that the gop attached the primary vote date change (which was in fact introduced by a dem) as an amendment to a paper trail ballot bill in the gop controlled senate. In Florida, given the 2000 abomination, who in the state legislature would vote against paper trails?

Of course it was a unanimous vote, self identified half wit.
Brit dropped his in the dirt, and you picked it up and sucked it.

Typical.

Where is that extensive and exhaustive list of the THOUSANDS of innocent Americans persecuted under Patriot Act and FISA? Huh, realitydenyingbeeatch?

I don’t believe he “conceded” the point. I believe he thought there was no point in beating that dead horse, so he moved on to other points. This is “television” and not the Lincoln-Douglas debates”. (Look it up! The exercise will do you good!)
By “talking points” do you mean the ”facts” that Democrats both sponsored the bill and voted for it unanimously?

In Florida, given the 2000 abomination, who in the state legislature would vote against paper trails?

So you’re saying it was for political expediency rather than any convictions they had? Yuppers! These are the folks I want to run the country!

Bob: Thanks for admitting that the Democrats are unprincipled, hypocrites who only vote to preserve their own power rather than preserve the Republic. Thanks, too, for demonstrating what a lowlife, worthless piece of humanity you are personally, by projecting your own homo-erotic fantasies on everyone else! Typical.

For any voter trying to choose between the two candidates for commander in chief, there is no better test than this: When American strategy in a critical theater was up for grabs, John McCain proposed a highly unpopular and risky path, which he accurately predicted could lead to success. Barack Obama proposed a popular and politically safe route that would have led to an unnecessary and debilitating American defeat at the hands of al Qaeda.
