Liberals Like High Oil And Gas Prices?

I’m not sure what other logical conclusion can be reached considering how the liberal Democrats have block every energy development that would alleviate our need for foreign oil.

Which party blocked the development of new sources of petroleum?-- Democrat
Which party blocked drilling in ANWR?-- Democrat
Which party blocked drilling off the coast of Florida?-- Democrat
Which party blocked drilling off of the east coast?-- Democrat
Which party blocked drilling off of the west coast?-- Democrat
Which party blocked drilling off the Alaskan coast?-- Democrat
Which party blocked building oil refineries?-- Democrat
Which party blocked clean nuclear energy production?-- Democrat
Which party blocked clean coal production?-- Democrat

That’s about the complete list.  Oh, liberals do like wind power but not if it’s in a liberal state like California. i.e. wind turbines obstruct their scenic views.  Interestingly the state of Texas who has perhaps the least environmental restrictions has the most wind turbines.

it occurs to me that Texas has so many wind turbines because the wind there always blows.  Oklahoma, after all, sucks....

Except for tornado alley which runs northeast from western Texas through OKC.  Hmmm, maybe that is another reason that there aren’t wind turbines in Oklahoma.

DocDave, how many of those projects did McCain oppose.  I know he’s against developing domestic oil sources.

I’m not sure of where he stands on building refineries, nuclear power.  He’s probably in favor of clean coal.

What’s going to happen to US industry when the global warming extremists like John McCain double the price of electricity?  I would think all these factories will close and set up in countries where they aren’t scared of technology.

toot, McCain sided with the Dems on many of these energy issues.  I don’t know if his vote was pivotal in the defeat of referenced energy measures.
