Legislation to Block Illegals From Obtaining Credit Cards

An idea whose time has come!

WASHINGTON—U.S. Rep. Marsha Blackburn, R-Tenn., introduced legislation Monday that would prevent illegal immigrants from receiving credit cards from American financial institutions.
The Photo Identification Security Act would require banks to use what Blackburn calls “secure forms of identification” to obtain credit. In a statement put out by her office, she says that Bank of America “has come under fire in response to reports that it allows illegal immigrants access to credit cards without proper documentation.”

Bill would block credit cards for illegals

No doubt.

I’ve already sent Banco del America Norte copies of my cut-in-half credit cards, notice of balance transfers and instructions to close all BofA cards, since I don’t cotton to any side-windin banker types who seem hell-bent on selling out the US of A by aiding and abetting those who flout our national borders and a raft of other laws (identity theft, tax, immigration, any sort of benefits, etc..) on a daily basis.

MZ,

Absolutely Brilliant!!!

My BofA accounts are also now closed.  As a business owner, I can be prosecuted for employing someone who is an illegal alien.  The idea that BofA can offer that same individual banking and credit card services with legal impunity is unconscionable.

Don’t we need all dem illegals to shop at our malls and feed our consumer led economy?

We need all the illegals out of this country as soon as possible.  The strength of our economy is in its reinvestment activity; that is the movement of privately owned capital.  I don’t expect a Marxist to be able to grasp this concept.

This legislation is a patch on a dam that’s breaking apart.  The US government needs to deal with the problems at the borders, not these silly problems.

Buying SUV’s, TV’s and items from Walmart is investing?  Or is borrowing large sums of money on credit cards and home refinancing and going on a shoping spree investing?

My concern with issuing credit cards without identity verification is not only with illegals, but also with criminals.  It is much more difficult to plan crimes without a credit card, and when a crimal does use one, they are much easier to track.  If you don’t accurately tie the card to the individual, you lose much of the protection that credit cards typically provide.

Your error is to project your own behavior on the rest of us.  If you don’t know the difference between spending and investing, please stay out of the market.  As a matter of fact, get a guardian appointed for you.

So you’re in favor of the Soviet Model where the government get’s to decide what it is that you get to consume?

That kind of central planning and emphasis on heavy manufacturing went well don’t you think.

They key Troy is that people produce when they get rewarded.  If the reward is a big screen TV, sobeit.

I read somewhere that an hundred years ago that people were borrowing money they had no chance of paying off.

Real wealth in this country is at an all time high.

What’s going to happen to US industry when the global warming extremists like John McCain double the price of electricity?  I would think all these factories will close and set up in countries where they aren’t scared of technology.

By “dem illegals” are you referring to members of the Democrat party, or are you affecting a Steppin Fetchit dialect, since racism is so becoming?

Whatever stimulus there is to our economy from illegals shopping here is offset by the billions of dollars siphoned out of our economy and sent across our southern border.

For any voter trying to choose between the two candidates for commander in chief, there is no better test than this: When American strategy in a critical theater was up for grabs, John McCain proposed a highly unpopular and risky path, which he accurately predicted could lead to success. Barack Obama proposed a popular and politically safe route that would have led to an unnecessary and debilitating American defeat at the hands of al Qaeda.

Considering the heritage of the Bank of America this isn’t that surprising of a move.

It originally was the Bank of Italy and catered to Italian immigrants in the early 1900’s.

Actually, with the exception of the new Audi, the Porsche Cayenne, Land Rovers, and a few Nissan/Infinitis, all with fairly negligible sales, almost all of those SUV’s the left brays about are manufactured here in the US.  Including Hyundai, Honda, Kia, Toyota, and the gorgeous new Mercedes M-Class being built in Alabama.

American workers employed building products for American consumers.  What’s not to like about that?

Dem Illegals?

Of course being an illegal alien / societal parasite and Democrat is synonymous.

Once Peter learns that he can force government to take from Paul and give it to him, government can always depend upon Peter’s vote.

That’s why we are not a democracy and why the Founders established us as a Constitutional Representative form of government—if we could keep it.
