Left Spews Hatred Towards Those Who “Outed” Gore

Good ol’ tolerant Left...unless you say something they don’t like!

NEW YORK—The Tennessee Center for Policy Research recently generated headlines when it announced that former Vice President Al Gore’s Nashville estate “devoured nearly 221,000 kilowatt-hours” of electricity in 2006, “more than 20 times the national average.”
This free-market think tank’s phones lit up when it analyzed Nashville Electric Service’s public records and identified an inconvenient gap between Gore’s conservationism and his energy consumption. The research center’s one-page press release was greeted with enough megawatts of hatred to power the South.

“I got about 10 death threats by phone. I got the ‘I’m gonna get you’-type threats more than 100 times ... I worried I would get shot walking to my car.
...Gore’s defenders also spewed venomous e-mails. They sent the research center nearly 3,000 Gore-related messages that exhibited the very bigotry the Left routinely denounces.

Well, since I am “left” according to the people on here, I will argue that all of us will spew hatred on those that “outed” Gore.  I’m glad that these people pointed out that Gore uses lots of electricity.  I will be the first in line to call him a hypocrite.

However, that doesn’t mean that he isn’t right about Global Warming.  These are two different issues.  All of us are hypocrites in one way or another.  I would wish that Al Gore would put up solar panels that would reduce his electric bill.  I would wish that Al Gore would use the most cutting edge technology that is available in the world to cut down on his electricity use.  He can afford it.  But he isn’t, so he should be criticized for his stance.

Gee! bak...You never struck me as foam flecked, death threat kind of liberal before! Death threats to those who expose your hypocrisy? Isn’t that a bit much even for you?

For any voter trying to choose between the two candidates for commander in chief, there is no better test than this: When American strategy in a critical theater was up for grabs, John McCain proposed a highly unpopular and risky path, which he accurately predicted could lead to success. Barack Obama proposed a popular and politically safe route that would have led to an unnecessary and debilitating American defeat at the hands of al Qaeda.

Yes! But some of us, like Gore, are hypocrites in a globally cataclysmic way. Others just fib about whether you look fat in that dress or not!

I’m not that good at math. And I thought Al Gore was just a poor actor. My bad.

Al Gore story.  Here is yet another example of some people (the left) threatening someone for exposing The Truth.  Is this fact that Al used 221,000 KWH or not?  A simple question involving facts and truth.

Gore might be wrong on climate change, but that is another debate.

Ah! No need for that! Just turn the lights on and the cockroaches scramble! (Or would if they had any sense of shame!)

Actually, the two are somewhat related.  The GW alarmists, especially the high profile ones, don’t any appears to be undertaking the types of sacrifices that they expect the rest of us to do.  This make me not only question their statements, but also their motives.

Actually, the significance of this isn’t just that Algore is a hypocrite (though he is) or a bad actor (which he also is, thanks Sparkie), but rather that Gore’s actions demonstrate that he doesn’t believe what he’s saying enough to take any concrete action to control his own carbon usage.

Think about it; Gore’s written a book or two on this, produced a movie on this, and he can’t be bothered to install a few CF bulbs and turn down the heat on his pool?  As such, I can’t believe that he believes his own rhetoric any more than I do, and hence I think he’s just using this issue to get centralized control over the economy.

(exactly what his father’s benefactor, Stalin’s capitalist Armand Hammer, would have wanted, by the way)

And the death threats?  Well, if I remember correctly, Tennessee IS a shall-issue concealed carry state, and most global warming alarmists oppose the private ownership of firearms.  Any attempt to carry out such a threat could be quickly found to be a very bad idea on the part of the perpetrator.

Al’s a little like a man yelling “Fire!” in a crowded theater while he himself makes no movement whatsoever towards the exit!
When he tells you “You’ve no time to take your purses or wallets, just flee!” as he stands motionless, it’s not hard to figure out what’s on Al’s mind as he waits for the theater to empty…

The sky is falling!  Trade me your SUVs for my compact, I’ll see to it that they’re properly recycled… wink

Yea. I think the trick is just to keep a constant supply of food and electrical appliances in front of him. Let him burn kilowatts and eat cheesy poofs. Might keep him quieter. I got a little access. Not to Gore though. I lobbied a bit for medical marijuana and end of life rights… as I know a couple people here and there in the home state that would tend to vote against that kinda stuff. If you are sick and dying from cancer, I think you should be able to smoke weed. If you are old and want to die, I think there should be a humane way to do it so your family doesn’t find you with your brains all over the bathroom ceiling or so you don’t botch it and make things worse… sorry. Ignore that swerve…

Hell, spark! I think you should be able to smoke weed simply because you want to. As for death when you want it, lots of places you can suicide AND help humanity. 5lbs of C4 and a bus ticket to the Phelpsfucks compound in Kansas comes immediately to mind.

And I saw a vid clip today of the Goreacle, looks like he is ready to have a stroke at any minute. Someone should tell him to backoff on the blow. Those latebloomers never can handle their buzz.

The likes of Gore have plagued mankind for ages.  It boils down to an overweening arrogance.  So much so that they are blissfully unaware of their own arrogance and take it as incontrovertible truth they they are right and all others are mere peasants to be controlled.

Thomas Jefferson spoke to this:

For I believe a principle of our Revolution was simply the recognition that the mass of mankind has not been born with saddles on their backs. Nor a few booted and spurred ready to ride him by their own political devices or by the grace of their own particular God.

...for great justice
