Ladies,You Have No Choice by Don Hinrichsen

This is an excerpt found here.

“...the number of women who die
from unsafe abortions every year—estimated minimally
at 70,000 by the World Health Organization—will soar
due to Bush’s policies. Making abortion illegal, or difficult
to obtain, does not stop abortion from happening.

In the Philippines, an overwhelmingly Catholic nation
where abortions are completely illegal, ... estimates
there are half a million a year. Many of them take place
in unsafe, unsanitary conditions.

At just one hospital in
Addis Ababa, capital of Ethiopia – another country
where abortion is illegal—a study found that half of all
female deaths were from botched back-street abortions.

Half the women in country die from bad abortions? WOW.  Abortion needs to remain accessible to women.

I’m pretty sure that I wouldn’t go to the Phillipines or Ethiopia for any medical procedure.

So the back alley medicine in the US would be superior to the back alley medicine of the Phillipines and Ethiopia?

Well first of all you lie.  George Bush has not proposed making abortion illegal.  What law has he proposed to make it illegal?

Why do you liberals feel the need to misdeceive the public?

So because women will do it regardless, it should be legal.

Color me unconvinced by that bullshit position.

likwidshoe on October 26, 2006 at 04:08 pm

Good point Lik, by Troy’s reasoning we should have no laws.

I do not buy those numbers, troy. You seem like an intelligent, if misguided, person. Do the math. Are you seriously trying to convince anyone that 500,000 women of child bearing age die each year in the Phillipines?

And as Toot has amply pointed out, no one has proposed illegalizing abortion. Not paying for it with tax dollars? Bet you ass.

We simply want to remove it from being a de facto Constitutional right, and return it to the decision of the local people impacted by being forced to have corporate abortion mills in their communities.  Don’t we get to vote on this?

Or, they could make the moral and ethical decision to stop making children they don’t want, instead of making them and killing them.  What a concept!

Did you read that short quote?  Did it go over your head?

1. 70,000 deaths by WHO
2. 500,000 illegal abortions in Phillipines
3. Half of Female death in Ethiopia are from back alley
abortions

Bullhockey.  Nobody would engage in that risky of behavior.

According to http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/entrez/query.fcgi?cmd=Retrieve&db=PubMed&list_uids=12159503&dopt=Abstract

It is estimated that unsafe/illegal abortions accounted 54% of all direct obstetric deaths

It is performed in back alleys and unsafe conditions because the doctor is imprisoned for no more than 5 years for an abortion that is not directly related to saving the life of the mother.

And you have not provided evidence of the bills put forward to make abortion illegal. WorldWatch’s numbers and reasoning are, at best, nebulous. The World Health Organisation is a highly agendized political entity, and any datum supplied by them is highly suspect. Now, have you done the math of your numbers? And what, exactly, is your stake in advocating government funded abortion on demand? Abortion is legal and will remain so. Why are you so determined to use tax dollars to finance abortion? Come now. Make your agenda clear for all to understand.

The link you posted said that there was a “vast right wing conspiracy” to deny women control of their own bodies. Another conspiracy? How come I’m never included in these conspiracies? Was it something I said?

And, by the way.....nobody is saying that women can’t have control of their bodies. They seemed to have had plenty of control when they GOT pregnant, didn’t they? The question is, do they have the right to kill that child because they were irresponsible or just don’t want it?

I’ve said it before, I’ll say it again....the left will have you jailed if you’re mean to a puppy or kitty, but they’ll support aborting a child. They vociferously protest against the death penalty for the likes of Tookie Williams, but will defend aborting a fetus.

Tell me how that makes sense.

Oh, the phone’s ringing. Maybe it’s someone who wants to include me in a conspiracy.

Wow, I never realized just how many women die every year while in the commission of a crime. Those are some staggering numbers! But heres another bit of information for you to ponder...... How many of those annual abortions result in the death of an unborn child?  I’ll bet its more than those felonious females.

I’ll bet condom use is responsible for the deaths of even more “unborn children”.

For any voter trying to choose between the two candidates for commander in chief, there is no better test than this: When American strategy in a critical theater was up for grabs, John McCain proposed a highly unpopular and risky path, which he accurately predicted could lead to success. Barack Obama proposed a popular and politically safe route that would have led to an unnecessary and debilitating American defeat at the hands of al Qaeda.

davey, I wish your daddy had used a condom. You advocate infanticide with orgasmic glee, then you post in this thread crying about the poor nonborn babies.
Indeed, give it a rest.

Good. It’s called thinning out the gene pool Troy. In short: fuck ‘em. If they’re in love with death so much, let them get a taste of it. They’ve earned it. I hope it’s gruesome and painful too. I hope they die begging for a forgiveness that doesn’t come. They’ve earned it.

I don’t cry for the wicked. Indeed, I hope the whole Heaven and Hell thing is true and I somehow get reincarnated as an angel. Not a cutesy lovey-dovey Hallmark angel, mind you; but an Olde Testamente, fire and brimstone angel that transports the wicked into their Hell.

I probably couldn’t get the job though because my intentions are not to save or even hope that these Goddamned souls are saved, but to deliver their souls to their rightful owner down below.

I like to scare Christians by asking them which army I would be serving. Then again, I also probably wouldn’t get the job because of the whole not believing agnostic thing plus my many sins, but who knows.

Humanity is fucking evil and I see you and others sit there and advocate for the deaths of the unborn on purely selfish motives. You do this while convincing yourself that it is the moral position.

Any “greater good” argument you could make is null and void if only you learn that all of this could be prevented if you don’t put the peepee of the man into the peepee of the woman. I just used child terms to describe this to you, because it appears that it has to be described using such terms.

We’re talking about two selfish adults who can’t control their carnal desires who naturally create a life with their actions. When that life is created, they snuff it out.

Then again, sometimes we’re talking about only one selfish adult since the woman is the only one holding any power. Not only is she killing her child, but she’s killing the father’s child as well. More selfishness.

Can you describe or name an action that is more selfish? I think you’d be hard pressed to find one. Even if you could, abortion certainly ranks right up there.

Now you can sit there while laughing and justifying the death you advocate for purely selfish motives. You can even sit there and laugh at me if it makes you feel better. You can sit there and think that I am the evil one for hoping that the whole Heaven/Hell thing is true more for the Hell part than the Heaven part. I don’t care. It matters little in the end.

But know one thing - If there is a Hell, I hope to drag your foul-smelling soul kicking and screaming into it. I sincerely mean that.

Have a good day.
