Kerry won’t run for president in ‘08

In perhaps the biggest “Well, duh!” moment of the 2008 presidential race John Kerry says he won’t run. This may be the answer to the democrat’s question : What’s the best news we can announce to the American people to upstage the President’s State of the Union message.

At least Richard Nixon had enough dignity not to cry about it!

Mission accomplished!

Bat One: I’m channeling a democrat here, but when you say “Mission accomplished!” does that mean that the war is over, conservatism has won and completely conquered liberalism, no democrat will every run for office again, or is it a little more specific and smaller in scope?

For any voter trying to choose between the two candidates for commander in chief, there is no better test than this: When American strategy in a critical theater was up for grabs, John McCain proposed a highly unpopular and risky path, which he accurately predicted could lead to success. Barack Obama proposed a popular and politically safe route that would have led to an unnecessary and debilitating American defeat at the hands of al Qaeda.

Mark Stein had this to say about Kerry:

Last week, the senator took to the floor and reduced himself to tears as he announced that he’d regretfully decided not to run for president again. John Edwards shoveled him into the landfill of history with some oleaginous boilerplate about Kerry’s readiness to “respond to any call to serve his country.” Was anybody calling? And why would they? What does Senator Kerry weep for other than his own thwarted ambition? What did he stand for? What was his vision other than a belief in his own indispensability?

Amen to that, bat, this country owes much to those courageous men that exposed this charlatan.  And they had to overcome a lying negative press to do so.

You don’t have to be a moron to be a liberal Democrat but it sure helps.
