I love the commercial for it. The scene where Ben Stein is sitting with a kid outside the principal’s office and kid asked him what he did and he said, “I made a movie.” The kid hesitates and replies, “Must have been some movie.”

I checked out some of the blogs of the anti-intelligence crowd.  Thier panties are in a wad.  The funny thing is the pettiness and silliness of thier attacks.  Things like Stein is a liar because he didn’t get permission to play 25 seconds of “Imagine”, and confusing the claims of the film with the quotes of ID proponents in the film.  I can see there will be no rational discussion of its merits amongst the devout followers of eveolutionary theory.  Instead, it will be the usual personal attacks and arrogant superiority.  But it doesn’t matter much, the target audience is Americans not elitist snobs (who gleefully portray themselves as such in the movie btw), so I expect it will have a broad and positive influence.

A troll is someone who only wants to stir up trouble, not have an honest debate.  Some signs that a poster is a troll:
* Dodges questions from other posters * Refuses to give sources
* When one of its arguments is shown to be false, either ignores the proof or moves the goalposts.  Heh. (From the LGF faq)
