to the actions of the paparazzi, who like hunting dogs after a beleaguered vixen, led to Lady Di’s death.

In warfare and dealing with a Police State, your best defense is anonymity. 

If it can be located, it can be hit and killed.  That’s why someone in government saying I know where you live is a very real threat (ask any of the 86 men, women and children victims of Waco and Vicki Weaver what they think about that).

We knew where the Japanese Admiral Yamamoto was going to be, at a time when it was almost all bad news for America early in the war.  But armed with this vital information we could, and did, arrange for his assassination.

Thus, as students of history, journalists KNOW that putting out this information puts their victims in very real danger.

Tell me that isn’t intentional treason.
