Is Joe Lieberman The ‘McCain’ Of The Democratic Party?
Looks Like the Independent Senator from Connecticut is raising feathers and blood-pressures among the democrats.
Joe Lieberman (I) Conn., who had to fight his own party last year after losing a heated primary dominated by the far-left, currently has the democratic Senate majority by the short-hairs, since they hold a 1 vote majority only when Lieberman votes with them.
Lieberman routinely votes with republicans on matters of national security and war funding.
Now, to the consternation of the liberals, Lieberman is openly and publicly attacking Barack Obama for his stands on those issues and has hinted that he would speak at the Republican Convention if asked.
The democrats must be foaming at the mouth behind the scenes. John Kerry expressed his party’s fear that Lieberman might become an “attack-dog” for the GOP.
