Michael Moore - liberal mouthpiece and sleezy film-maker - has already opined that hurricane Gustav is God’s will aimed at the GOP convention - as though Moore actually believes in The Almighty.

But his is only the opening salvo of what will become a Democrat litany: “Katrina victims get their revenge.”, etc., ad naseum.

Should Gustav make landfall with anything approaching the ferocity of Katrina, people will die, lives and property will be severely damaged and the Democrats will jump for joy.

And make no mistake, even if Gustav is reduced to a mild wind-storm, the MSM will still use it as an excuse to ignore the Twin Cities convocation.

Downed power-lines and fallen palm trees will be used to trump McCain and Palin’s moment.

Thus, if all this happens, the GOP and John McCain, along with his running-mate, Sarah Palin, will be put to the test. Can the maverick from Arizona and the barracuda from Alaska rise to the occasion?

Here’s a hint:  While Barack Obama and Joe Biden are wowing the locals in rural Ohio high school football stadiums, McCain and Palin are making their way to the eye of the storm!

But then, that’s exactly what real leaders are supposed to do, isn’t it? 

Look for Obama and friends to scurry south soon, following in the wake of a man who didn’t hesitate to interrupt his schedule - in which we see the clear difference between a leader who acts, and an opportunist who reacts.
