In Pittsburg, McCain Calls For Immediate Tax relief

Speaking today to a large student and faculty group at Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburg, Republican presidential nominee John McCain called for an immediate moratorium on the federal gasoline tax from Memorial Day until Labor Day. The applause was immediate and prolonged.

"Somewhere along the way, too many republicans in congress became indistinguishable from the democrats they used to oppose" , he quipped.

McCain said the moratorium would provide much need relief to American consumers while reducing the federal tax burden faced by them.

Now if he’ll just make the Bush tax rate cuts permanent, while slashing capital gains and inheritance taxes, he might be close to being fiscally conservative.  Of course, the massive taxes and restrictive regulations he proposes for his “global warming” boondoggle will wipe out any benefits from anything else.

"One must regard his leftist opponent as a parent regards his recalcitrant child. Don’t give an inch in a debate with a leftist, and you’ll soon frustrate him to the point that he falls back to his default position. He’ll gainsay your every point. He’ll even resort to calling you names and accusing you of having suspect parentage.”

I think Mr. Amnesty, Mr. Global Warming Tax, Mr. I Don’t Want Citizens to be Heard is talking about himself.

I’m surprised he’s for this since rich people driving SUV’s and luxery cars great distances are sure to get the majority of the relief.
In 2001, McCain said the tax cuts favored the wealthy at the expense of the middle class.

What’s going to happen to US industry when the global warming extremists like John McCain double the price of electricity?  I would think all these factories will close and set up in countries where they aren’t scared of technology.

By the way PP I just checked out Thomas.Gov.  I searched for the bills that Senator McCain has sponsored and didn’t see his gas tax relief in there.

I’ll keep looking to see if he’s a co-sponsor, but maybe you can help me out and show me how he’s for “immediate” tax relief.

Have the highways on the internet become more few?
