I still believe in Miracles

What I love about a win like the Giants over the Patriots is that despite all the sound prognostication of every expert in sports and sports betting (12 point spread) the Giants still pulled it off.  Everyone had written them off.

I still believe in miracles.  Tuesday is a day away.  Eli Manning had an impossible task.  It took a Miracle. He found it.

A friend of mine from North Dakota some years ago had a sign over her desk that said, “If you don’t believe in Miracles you aren’t being realistic”.

I’m being realistic.

I know that Football is a game of any given Sunday.  Maybe politics is a game of any given Tuesday.

I heard someone say and write this:
Ronald Reagan, 1962: I did not leave the Democratic party, the party left me.

Insert: your name, 2008, and the Republican party.

A lot of us don’t see a home there any more.  When a party is controlled by a blind establishment it has no future.

Maybe it’s due to our public education system.  This guy thinks so.
