I don’t like some laws too…
...but I ain’t the president so I usually bite my lip and ‘wait for the walk signal to turn green‘ before crossing the street. This‘ll leave a big hole in history.

This is nothing more than a left wing witch hunt… The Dems have been after Rove and they feel they must not stop until they find something to get him out of the way.
Turn around is fair play. I can’t imagine how cut throat its going to be if Hillary gets into the Presidential office. I will be leading chearleader in the champaign to discredit her.

Goon. Laws are laws. They aren’t recommendations. I don’t like Hillary either. A lot.

Laws are laws.
Yes, indeed they are. And we are all subject to the laws… equally.
Those on the GOP side of the aisle who are found to have violated federal campaign laws should be subject to the very same sanctions and penalties as former Vice President “No controlling authority” AlGore and his former boss, who rented out the Lincoln bedroom in the White House in exchange for campaign contributions, collected laundered Chinese contributions from poverty-avowed, saffron-robed Buddhist priests, and made campaign solicitation phone calls from their White House office telephones.

It may be different on Sparkie’s planet, but on mine, the walk signal is white (incandescent beige more or less), and the don’t walk signal is orange. If you’re waiting for the walk signal to turn green, you’re going to be waiting a long time.
And in the same way, it may be different on Sparkie’s planet, but on mine, I kinda expect that White House staffers would have and use email accounts furnished by their political parties. It’s like they’re political appointees or something, you know. I would also expect that the White House would make sure that confidential information be encrypted before sending it, no matter what email is used. Beyond that, I really can’t see a problem here. Waxman is, as usual, generating profound amounts of chicken manure initiatives.
So I find it funny that there are very few people that are actually interested in this story.
Again, I can’t wait to start nit picking the next democratic president. I can imagine all the free passes the liberal press is going to be giving them much like now when the dems are accomplishing nothing and are getting any coverage…

Well, you aren’t familiar with the laws. If its White House business, the whitehouse emails are to be used, by law. It not only fudges the record, I suspect it compromises certain security as well.

Why can’t these people supply their own email accounts? And where are the listings of Congressional Democrats using DNC supplied email accounts and why are they not being investigated. They are our employees, all their correspondence should be open to scrutiny. All of their correspondence. Both parties and all their staff members. Every single call, letter, memo, phone call, conversation, and email.
Time for our government to get an enema.

Its some law called the ‘the Presidential Records Act’. Whoever becomes president, apparently, is supposed to comply with it. Those you refer to may be covered by their own respective act, but this is White House specific, in this case.
Yun Chu said, “You must strictly not express in words what is very significant. Both dragon and snake are killed in one blow.”
Sparkie, the wee bit of trouble with your hypothesis is that the actual LAW (what Congress passed, not the White House Counsel) does not specify this, and Nostrilitus hasn’t got any clear evidence that official business was transacted on non-government accounts. (which the LAW itself does not prohibit)
Plus, there is a wee little problem called “executive privilege”; sorry, but Nostrilitus is NOT entitled to go on a fishing expedition like this. Maybe it is on your planet, but not mine.

Ethics, Rules and laws don’t apply to the Dems and they are only good when its a republican breaking the rules. Also, don’t expect the lap dog media to cover any wrong doing by dems. I mean really this Jefferson thing should be front page news every day but its not.

So, only members of the Republican Party are held accountable? Democrat Party members get to skate? That is reassuring.

This is what is killing our nation. One group of people is held to the standard of law, everyone else gets to game the system.

the issue is the fact that the current admin is sneaky and secretive. they are not transparent. we elected them so they could lead our country in full view, not hide from us while they ransack the constitution.
also robert perry… you are biased. you provided no links. what are you trying to achieve cause you havent convinced me of anything.
there is a wee little problem called “executive privilege”
this is not a totalitarian state. fuck this executive privilege shit. what, every republican has this now? you are pulling stuff out your ass. if they were being legal, ethical, and the lot… they would have nothing to hide and they wouldn’t hide. they would want us to see what a good job they are doing. its just the ‘free market’ people hiding their ‘executive privilege’ bid fixing from the rest of us who elected them. honestly, bush is a piss poor pres.
Yun Chu said, “You must strictly not express in words what is very significant. Both dragon and snake are killed in one blow.”
Sparkie, you could try looking up “executive privilege” for yourself. Clinton used it repeatedly to shield his staffers, especially cabinet members, from interrogation. It ensures that the President can get honest feedback from his counselors.
And yes, EVERY administration needs to have some “opaqueness.” They deal with things like “classified information,” and hence no sane person wants them to be completely transparent, because “loose lips sink ships.” Hating W because he insists on some degree of confidentiality is absurd.
So at least you’re consistent, if not sane.
Clinton did a lot questionable things and I don’t think Bush is any worse, I mean honestly, He didn’t give away nuclear secrets to the Chi-Coms like Bubba did.
