I could be wrong

But I believe this photo:

represents something I never saw under the previous administration…

The President of the United States in the presence of armed soldiers.

It’s a photo-op.

Why is Jill smiling?

Cause she’s leaving.

Why don’t you show pictures of Bush serving in Vietnam.
Oh, I forgot that his daddy got him in the Air National guard so he could bravely protect Texas. And did not chicken-hawk Cheney say he had “other priorities” when asked why he did not serve? Is there anything more vile than a chicken-Hawk? BUC,BUC,BUC.

As usual you miss the point.  Do please show us an image (un-modified) of the previous President in the presence of armed service men or service women.

Just one, poodle…

That or bugger off as you have bugger all to contribute.

Why don’t you show pictures of Bush serving in Vietnam.

He was flying an F-102, looking for Russian nuclear bombers.  What were you doing?

Probably still is.

Why don’t you show pictures of Bush serving in Vietnam.

Why don’t you show some pictures of Clinton serving in any branch of the military?  Oh, I forgot he avoided the draft due to political influence.

Political and family influence keeps Clinton out of the draft. Robert Corrado—the only surviving Hot Springs draft board member from that period—concluded that Clinton’s draft statement (the long delays) was the result of “some form of preferential treatment.” According to the Times, “Corrado recalled that the chairman of the three-man draft panel ... once held back Clinton’s file with the explanation that ‘we’ve got to give him time to go to Oxford,’ where the semester began in the fall of 1968.
Corrado also complained that he was called by an aide to then Senator J. William Fulbright urging him and his fellow board members to ‘give every consideration’ to keep Clinton out of the draft so he could attend Oxford.

I don’t know about other Presidents, but George W. Bush has been photoed with armed soldiers in the past.

Rob,

Hard to tell from that image, but I don’t believe I see any magazines in those weapons.

The President of the United States in the presence of armed soldiers.

Rodney,

Most likely because THIS president respects the men and women under his command and they, in turn, respect their Commander-in-Chief.

The same, of course, could not be said of Mr. Bush’s disreputable predecessor.

Davinski,

In the interest of furthering your education and assisting your assimilation among the adults here at SAB, a form DD-214, “Report of Transfer or Discharge” is a military service veteran’s record of service and final military discharge.  The “DD” stands for Defense Department.

So… got one of those with your name on it?  Didn’t think so.

Four years in the Air force, my friends. My dd214 has a lot of info that I do not want to share on the net. I served as an Air Policeman, Later changed to Security Police. In the Air Force your Job is your AFSC. I served in Texarkana at a little radar site, at Perin AFB in Denison Texas, Utapao, Thailand where I guarded B52’s and a year in Nam at Ton Son Nhut Air Base near Saigon. Had it very good compared to the grunts I knew.
Never saw any serious combat, but by-God when my country called, I answered. That is better than Bush- Cheney who,to me are the lowest of low.I served 1966-1970.

Davinski,

Its hard to imagine what there might be about a four year tour as a military guard and cop that warrants protection, but thank you for your service in any event.

Your slam at Mr. Bush and Mr. Cheney would a good deal more meaningful, and authoritative, if you could have forced yourself to include either Bill Clinton the draft-dodger, or John Kerry the congenital liar and activist traitor to those with whom he served.

Davinski: In the spirit of your “chickenhawk” argument, by extension then, anyone who has not been President of the United States has no business criticizing the present President, right?  I don’t remember any “President Davinski”.  Of course, your initial premise is pure crap, which is my point.  Every citizen has not only a right, but a duty to criticize or praise anyone they choose.  It’s called individual independence, and it’s what we do here in the US.  Just thought I’d remind you.  If your account of your military service is true, you should know that your job is to defend the rights of all our citizens to speak freely.

poodle,

And where are their arms?  Not the limbs, but their weapons, “...armed service men or service women.” And do work on that reading comprehension issue which so frequently manifests here.
