Huckabee on Taxes, Immigration, Clemency

Funny, but some folks here want us to overlook a tax hiking, free spending, Amnesty supporting, Illegal subsidizing, rapist freeing “Conservative” because Huckster speaks Gospel speak.

Huckabee’s star burned bright when folks were hoodwinked by a slick talking Pastor from down south, but as folks investigate and look at his record, he is far from Conservative.

I just wonder how Huckabee decided he was a Republican? He is pro life! BUT so are a lot of Democrats.

Why did Nelson Rockefeller? Olympia Snow? Spectre? They believe in a moderate Republican Party that appeals to both Left and Right. I am sure he honestly thinks he is a genuine Republican and a Conservative. Someone said he was deceiving people, perhaps it is that he is self deceived about who he really is!

No matter the age or state of health, for a military man it is always glorious to tilt at windmills, rescue a fair Dulcinea and be a gallant knight in armor in a glorious cause.

Neiman, I don’t think he is deceiving people. I just think he can’t embrace the pro death, pro abortion stance that the Dem party clings to.

Huckster was out screaming at the top of his lungs to the media about what a lying bastard Romney was and trying to air his attack ad without really airing an attack ad.

In another thread, you stated it very clearly and very correctly--we need to look at the issues and evaluate Huckabee’s position on the issues. What is sad is that his “Christianity” seems to be blinding so many Evangelical Conservatives that are ignoring his very un-Conservative track record, statements, and positions simply because they find his “religiosity” appealing. That is what this race is turning into. People blindly throwing their support behind this guy and giving him the benefit of the doubt simply because of his religious credentials, when in actuality, if he held the same views and had the same track record, but wasn’t an Evangelical and endorsed by so many of the leaders of the various powerbrokering megachurches, he would be completely unappealing to conservative voters.

It is only out of ignorance by the voters that they are lining up behind Huckabee and he is surging. He is Harriet Myers. We need a Sam Alito. It just takes some due dilligence on this guy and my hope is that the party will select the right person for the job. Huckabee is out of touch with Conservatives. Simply being pro-life and a Christian may make the Democrat party completely repulsive, but it does not make someone a Conservative.
