Sorry to disagree with you, but I believe to a large degree socialism is already dominant in Ametica; and under Obama and a fillibuster proof Democrat Party controlled Congress, I believe in the next 4-years we will make great strides in that direction to our regret and it will be mostly irreversible.

The constitution has no provisions to allow govt. intervention of any kind into the private sector. I think the constitution should be followed to as close to the letter as can be done, taking into consideration that we do not live in the late 18th century. I would like to see govt. excluded entirely from the free market. I find govt. interference to be a hinderance in my own business, both day to day, and in the big picture.
That said, I am not obtuse like you. I understand that what I want is not reality, has not been for a long time, and nothing I do will change that fact. In order for me to do business and be successful, I have to see things as they are, not as I want them to be. You obviously have the luxury of retirement and a static production level in your life. I do not. You can wish in one hand and shit in the other if you like. I have to function as a business in the real world. I have to see things as they are, not as I wish they were.
