How To Catch Pigs

We can be free and responsible for our own lives or eat the free corn of the Democrats and it is all up to each one of us.

There was a chemistry professor in a large college who had some exchange students in the class.  One day while the class was in the lab, the prof noticed one young man, an exchange student, who kept rubbing his back and stretching as if his back hurt.

The professor asked the young man what was the matter.  The student told him he had a bullet lodged in his back.  He had been shot while
fighting communists in his native country who were trying to overthrow his country’s government and install a new communist regime.

In the midst of his story, he looked at the professor and asked a strange question.  He asked:

“Do you know how to catch wild pigs?” The professor thought it was a joke and asked for the punch line.  The young man said that it was no
joke.

“You catch wild pigs by finding a suitable place in the woods and putting corn on the ground. The pigs find it and begin to come everyday to eat the free corn.  When they are used to coming every day, you put a fence down one side of the place where they are used to coming.

When they get used to the fence, they begin to eat the corn again and you put up another side of the fence.  They get used to that and start to eat again.  You continue until you have all four sides of the fence up with a gate in the last side.  The pigs, which are used to the free corn, start to come through the gate to eat that free corn again.  You then slam the gate on them and catch the whole herd.  Suddenly the wild pigs have lost their freedom.  They run around and around inside the fence, but they are caught.  Soon they go back to eating the free corn. They are so used to it that they have forgotten how to forage in the woods for themselves, so they accept their captivity.”

The young man then told the professor that is exactly what he sees happening in America: The government keeps pushing us toward
Communism/Socialism and keeps spreading the free corn out in the form of programs such as supplemental income, tax credit for unearned income, tax cuts, tax exemptions, tobacco subsidies, dairy subsidies, payments not to plant crops (CRP), welfare, medicine, drugs, etc.  while we continually lose our freedoms, just a little at a time.

One should always remember two truths: There is no such thing as a free lunch and you can never hire someone to provide a service for you
cheaper than you can do it yourself.

Since those pigs have lost the ability to fend for themselves and they eventually will die anyway, we mind as well shoot them. Because even though a few may have the capability of flying, the majority of them will still be a burden to us in one way or the other.

Will it be any easier for you to see them die on the streets, or should we just put them out of their own misery, and off our shoulders and out of our sight?

You can’t have it both ways, either you have a bleeding heart, or you have no heart, that will be the debate.

Of course I don’t have to tell you where I stand, being that I’m a Raciest and a Bigot and a anti-Semite.

By the way, that is a great lesson to live by.

are these pigs the airlines, big oil, defence companies and all the other chronies of bush and cheney that they have been greasing down for the last 7 years and been given tax advantages behind a rhetorical veneer of lies about reducing spending, free marketism, and capitalism? no? is it a reference to the christians who have ‘fenced themselves in’, epistemically speaking, by preaching archaic faiery (as in Craig, and the other hypocrite faieries) tales for way too long? or is it a reference to all the banks in this country who have fenced themselves in by assessing their assets on a maket-to-model method and not a market-to-reality method, thereby fucking all of us and earning a free bailout from the tax pockets of those who they have been lying to and leading on? do expand this metaphor for us slow folk. as far as I can tell, you are going after the hollow rhetoric of the new, big-govvy, big spending, aristocrracy we call Republicrats? Trying to get a point across? No free lunch Neiman, put in the work, buddy.

The ideal of Conservatism is not to keep giving them corn, thereby trapping them and taking away their liberty. Reagan Conservatism would demand we teach them how to grow their own corn, give them the basic tools and live or die, they must take responsibility for their own lives.

No matter the age or state of health, for a military man it is always glorious to tilt at windmills, rescue a fair Dulcinea and be a gallant knight in armor in a glorious cause.

By nature the capable have a natural sense of survival, this is like teaching a dog a new trick, it’s for pure entertainment.  It’s like that movie trading places.

What your actually saying is “Let’s make it look like where not heartless, and show these incompetents how to live, knowing that their all going to die anyway”

But you say maybe a few will fly, but was it really worth the time that was wasted on the rest?

No it all boils down to not being heartless. But at least now you can say, at least I proved to myself that I was right.

How many times are we going to have to prove this to ourselves?

Don’t get me wrong, I have a heart, I do feel bad for these people. But I also know that no healthy person should waste all their strength on someone who is dead already.
