Hipocracy on the Left

Scott Eckern, The artistic director at the California Musical Theatre exercised his 1st amendment rights in California by donating $1,000 to the yes on prop. 8 campaign. Clearly a crime of hate that must be punished!
Now, if people want to boycott Mr. Eckern and his employer, then I have no problem with that. I find it hypocritical, though, after the left told us that we were crushing the 1st amendment rights of the Ditzy Chicks by not buying their albums or going to their concerts after Natalie Maines made a series of critical comments about our country at home and abroad. So, I guess boycotts and freedom of association are OK as long as it is not the left’s ox being gored.
