Al Gore Might Run

Carville Says Gore might Run. I say Bring Him on.

Democratic political strategist James Carville says Al Gore will run for president in 2008, but he fell short of offering his endorsement of that possible campaign.

Carville, appearing Tuesday as a guest on MSNBC’s ‘Imus in the Morning’ program, said Gore’s desire to run for political office might come, not from his Oscar win, but rather from something more primitive.

"Running for president is like having sex,” Carville said. "You don’t do it once and forget about it. You want to do it again. He’s run for president in ‘88, he ran for president in 2000. We know he wants to be president and the stars could line up. I suspect he will get into this race.”

The CNN analyst, author and former Clinton administration operative, will likely support Sen. Hillary Clinton in the 2008 race, but Carville said he is not formally on board with her team.

The Reason Carville hasn't endorsed Gore is because he doesn't want to wake up dead because the Clinton watch dogs will be after him.

Comments

Despite being so blatantly obnoxious (Carville’s “high cotton” accent is as deliberate and affected as Henry Kissinger’s gutteral pontifications) James Carville is one of the shrewdest and most knowledgeable political operators around.  He also despises not winning. And right now, Hillary ain’t looking like nearly the shoo-in that everyone, including Dick Morris, has been saying all these months.

In Carville’s world, there is nothing worse than running a losing campaign.

i am wondering if Morris isn’t doing a reverse job of Sand Bagging. It appears that every day she is dropping in the polls as the real Hillary is exposed.

goon,

Interesting thought about Morris.  He probably makes as much money hawking his book on O’Reilly’s show as he would as a campaign advisor.

I’ve thought all along that Hillary’s biggest problem would be the Democratic nomination, and that the most qualified candidate the Dems have… and the hardest to beat in a 1-on-1 general election would be Bill Richardson.

Still, the convention’s 18 months away.  A lot can happen… and probably will.

Bill Richardson isn’t getting any traction and that is a travesty, although I won’t vote for any democrat, he is the most attractive candidate to me. Biden is ok.

I shudder to think If a Democratic is going to win the election this time around in 2008. The last thing I want to see is Barrack Hussein Obama or Hillary getting the nomination, our country is going to suffer misserably if they are elected in my opinion. The temper tantrums and ash tray chuckings of Hillary the evasiveness of Obama. No one should be confused because both are free spending liberals that would try to give away anything and everything to cause more dependance on federal government.

Not a factor in this election is Edwards who is just too transparent to be successful, the man talks of two america’s and then lives in the america he is campaigning against.

The Dems that are the most objective and least polarizing of the Democratic candidates are trailing miserably in the polls right now. Its sad.
