“Hillary is What the Clintons Look Like With Their Pants Up”

Heh! Mark Steyn with a blisteringly funny take on the Decline and Fall of the Clinton Empire!

In his heyday, Bill could channel his narcissism into a famously sure “common touch” — he liked to bask in proof of his awesome empathetic powers. But, in the years since he left the Oval Office, he’s played too many gazillion-dollar-a-plate jet-set dinners in France and Switzerland, and the “common touch” has curdled. That was plain even by the 2002 midterms, when you could more or less correlate Democratic losses by his travel schedule. He’s a bust on the stump.

Steyn’s take on Clinton’s entrance to the 2000 Dem convention (if you remember it) is worth the read all by itself!

Energy Independence Now!

No more Oil Wars!

Stop funding the terrorists!

Drill in Anwar.

Build more nuclear power plants

Use More coal.

Use more natural gas

Turn trash into energy

Double the efficiency of windmills and solar cells.

If France can do nuclear power so can we.

If Brazil can do biomass/ethanol power so can we.

If Australia can do LNG power so can we.

Domestically produced energy will end recession and spur the economy.

Poetryman, not sure what this comment has to do with the posted article, but I could not agree more! Screw talking about the Clintoids and BhO. Having a major push in drilling, extracting, transporting, and refining would produce at least 2 million jobs. Not to mention all the people hired to do cleanup, containment, and environmental remediation(environazis love when you say that word, makes their tiny little peckers all throbby) and services industries. Machineshops, steamfitters and fabricators, restaurants and bars, hotels and short term residential. Talk about a booming economy.

And it could all happen. With 3 to 5 Executive Orders. Too bad W ain’t got the balls to do it.

pman has pasted this exact same shtick in several threads. He was challenged and refuted on several of his points in one of them, but he continues to cut and paste the same thing over and over.
I think it could be a form of spam. He posts it everywhere until someone is finally tempted to click on his poetry website. Mission accomplished.

For any voter trying to choose between the two candidates for commander in chief, there is no better test than this: When American strategy in a critical theater was up for grabs, John McCain proposed a highly unpopular and risky path, which he accurately predicted could lead to success. Barack Obama proposed a popular and politically safe route that would have led to an unnecessary and debilitating American defeat at the hands of al Qaeda.

He entirely failed in that. I almost never go to spambots from the thread, always go from the link in the email notif. That way, I think, they don’t list SA has being where that hit came from. I may be wrong.

I don’t see anything to refute. Increased domestic fuel production will spur the economy. And it is a win/win! Ecofreaks can stop screeching and DO something. Lots of job openings in environmental remediation(made the environazis get a tiny woody again) companies. Actually make Mother Gaea a better place, and get paid. By bigeviloil companies.

Some of it is nonsense.

Double the efficiency of windmills and solar cells.

...is like saying: “Use magic beans to grow giant beanstalks for biomass.”
If it could be done with current technology (and the laws of physics) it would have been done.

It will be done some day. Just not to-day, or to-morrow. Till then drill, pump, refine, and use petroleum. Win/Win! Build more nuke powerplants. Develop higher efficiency in fuel use at all levels, mainly by stripping onerous and repetitive bureaucratic crap out of the way so companies can modernize and update existing facilities without going bankrupt through dealing with all their non-productive crap.

He is a bit pie-in-the-sky, but what do you expect? He loves him some poetry.

Want to discuss solar panel/power systems? Try the Rovers.
They were supposed to already be dead, and still humming along.

It will be done some day.

So long as it doesn’t violate the laws of physics. I don’t know what the limits are. Double might be a conservative figure some day it or might be completely unattainable. Energy generation is not like a CAFE standard, you just can’t set an arbitrary figure and make it happen.

Drill in Anwar? Doable.
Double efficiency in solar cells? Magic beans.
