Hatch Stands Up for his Running-mate and Sets Back Womens Rights.

In the race for Minnesota’s Governor, Mike Hatch’s running mate, Judi Dutcher, got caught off guard and apparently displayed here ignorance on the issues of ethanol. When asked about the campaign’s stance on E-85, Dutcher responded, “What’s E-85?”

In response to criticism from the Pawlenty Campaign, Mike Hatch exclaimed, ““The governor is so desperate, he’s so far behind… He’s picking on a woman!”
I want to draw your attention to Hatch’s comment “He’s picking on a woman.” Are we not living in a supposed equal rights society?  Dutcher entered into politics and therefore she should be susceptible to the same scrutiny of all male politicians.

What amazed me more was the fact that rather then people calling Hatch out on this sexist comment they continue to question Pawlenty’s motive and asked him if he thought Dutcher’s ignorance on this issue was due to the fact that she is a woman.
