Happy Thanksgiving!

We are heading to DC for the holiday, and Friday I will spend at Arlington. Hope everyone has an excellent Thanksgiving. Even those I disagree with.

And the same to you and yours. Have a safe and happy Thanksgiving.

Thanksgiving, the Fourth of July, and Groundhog Day are the quintessential American celebrations.  Happy Thanksgiving to us all!

2H9er,

I love your directness and your unyielding kindness to those who think in strange and illogical ways.  You are a true saint.

Stay safe and alert, especially if you’re driving.

“Hope is not a method.” - Common Military Saying

The above is a statement of pro activity.  If any Soldier were to tell me that he hoped what he was briefing was going to come to fruition, that would be unacceptable.  We in the Army do not have the luxury to ‘hope’ that things will end well.  Hope will get us killed.  Instead, we must plan and take action.  Hope is not a method.

As a leader I can never ‘hope’ that my Soldiers have the proper training.  I can never ‘hope’ that my Soldiers have the proper logistical supplies.  I can never ‘hope’ that my Soldiers will survive the next mission.  Hope is not a method; I live in the real world.

The turkey’s in the smoker, and there should be just enough time to eat hearty between the games.

A very Happy Thanksgiving to all here at Say Anything, to friend and foe alike, and a special thanks to all who serve, and have served as well.  Freedom ain’t free.

HEY!! I am now a multi-location capable, techilliterate computer user. The Brother-in-law just configured the laptop to work here. EEHHAAWW!!! Thanks for all the good wishes, and I hope y’all’s turkeys are in the oven.

Freep, I’ll be at the cemetary, not in town. Though I plan to hit the Waffle House whose sign you can see from the ridge top above the Tomb.

oooo, Waffle House.

What’s going to happen to US industry when the global warming extremists like John McCain double the price of electricity?  I would think all these factories will close and set up in countries where they aren’t scared of technology.
