Government Hostility Towards People of Faith

Many here and elsewhere say that Christians are not being discriminated against by federal, state and local governments; But, it is happening every day all over the country in violation of the First and Fourteenth Amendments.

#1: A lawsuit has been filed against the city of Wichita, Kan., and several of its police officers on behalf of a Christian pastor arrested just for being on public property. Holick’s arrest happened last summer when a homosexual festival was being held in a public park in Wichita. He went to share his Christian faith on public property, and it took only a little longer than three minutes after his arrival for police officers to arrest him.

#2: In Elmira, N.Y., police arrested seven Christians who went into a public park where a “gay” fest was beginning and started to pray, faces down, while holding their Bibles. They were cited for “disturbing the peace,”

#3: Another case developed when police in St. Petersburg, Fla., arrested five Christians for carrying signs “wider than their torsos” outside an officially designated protest area at that city’s homosexual festival. St. Petersburg officials, following disturbances at a previous homosexual pride festival, implemented rules governing outdoor events that set aside “free speech zones” where protesters are allowed.

If we all do not protest infringements of Free Speech and Freedom of Religious Worship, what is to keep these Nazi’s from coming after you for posting or commenting here? Free Political Speech means just that, no matter how repugnant, every citizen absent inciting or engaging in acts of violence must be allowed unfettered access to the public square.

This is happening all over.

Why? Because of the idea in separating Faith and the Public Square in the name of separation of church and state.  The wall that never really existed. 

If I wanted to talk directly of my opposition to politicians who are pro abortion or pro the Gay agenda I can’t talk about it in church.  Too political.

I can’t talk about it in the public arena as a candidate, too “Religious”. 

I can’t talk about it in Schools.  Too divisive.

I can’t talk about it in the news media, too biased.

Where am I to call it as I see it.  OK, there’s this blog with it’s hundred or so loyal readers.  But we are few. 

And we don’t all agree. 

So, how does one get it said if I believe that someone is right or wrong?  The underlying animosity against people of faith is becoming a problem somehow we have to talk about.

We are really screwed up in this country, and thank your Neiman for saying so.

Come on now boys…

Are there any network TV preachers going strong?

Are there any cable TV preachers going strong?

Are there any preacher radio shows?

Are there any book, magazines, pamphlets, blogs, pray meeting, church socials, socially active faith based charity organizations, Sunday services, Saturday services, 6am masses, half way houses, religiously based schools, door to door Mormon salesmen - is there an office of faith based initiatives, is there a prayer said (by each team) before hundreds upon hundreds of sports events.

If christianist get up in the face of a law abiding American queer and disturb the peace, breaks a law or two, then they will go to jail.

After all somewhere it is written:

I would write more but I just got a call from HQ on the new War on Easter strategy session, the boys are back from the War on Christmas R&R and we have to get them outfitted with the new Tinkie Winkie combat gear and 5 new reasons that the Easter bunny lays eggs…gotta run…

RBB: You are seriously ill spiritually and mentally, you are in very desperate need of help. What I won’t do any longer is enable you by engaging in debates with you, you desperately need God and counselling to rid you of the demons that torment you day and night. To debate with you is an exercise in futility, it avails nothing but help you rant and rage much like a lunatic.

You are a slave to romantic facts of musketeers (HT to Robert Zimmerman).  You are obsessed with making numbered lists and pigeon holing everyone and everything you encounter that is in the least bit askew from your razor thin black or white with me or against me creed simply to struggle though your fear filled day. What evil dark sins are you choking down deep inside your shriveling soul? What personal abominations are you suppressing and tormenting yourself over in fear of God’s terrible swift sword? I think it is odd how that one atheist father with the child he has never had custody of is so intent on no prayer in school. AND I think he is the same person who wants In God We Trust off the money. IF he is an atheist why would he care? AND think how much it would cost the USA to design new money just for his satisfaction?
