Go to the mat on this outrage Huck!

From the leader of the “Republican” party in Washington state why he decided to STOP COUNTING VOTES and just award the victory to McCain.

Asked for an explanation, state Republican Party Chairman Luke Esser said he just felt confident that the other 13% of the votes didn’t need to be counted. He told reporters, “Maybe it would have been safer if I hadn’t said anything. But it was an exciting and historic day for the state and I thought if I was confident about what the outcome would be I should share that with the people who had gone out to their caucuses.”

Now we count votes only when we feel like it, and we don’t if we don’t like the potential outcome?  What is this the USSR?  Where’s the outrage?  I hope Huckabee makes a huge stink out of this.  He’s been far too nice so far.  I’d be looking for blood.

The left is having a field day at the Republican Party’s selective vote counting:

“Nice to know the Repubs have progressed from 2000 where they refused to count Democratic votes, to 2008 where they are now refusing to count their own votes.”

Shame on us.

Read the whole thing.

Gene,

On this one, I have to agree with you...more or less.  Given his apparent lack of concern over vote counting, Mr. Luke Esser has no business holding the position of GOP Party chairman.

As for that “field day” on the Left, I don’t think that Democrats responsible for this have any reasonable expectation that their comments regarding counting votes will be taken seriously.
