Gloria Steinem Rips John McCain

Over at the NY Observer, http://www.observer.com, they’re reporting in STUMPING FOR CLINTON, STEINEM SAYS McCAIN’S P.O.W. CRED IS OVERRATED that while campaigning for Hillary Clinton in Texas, Gloria Steinem of NOW fame, drew applause for this…

McCain was in fact a prisoner of war for around five-and-a-half years, during which he was tortured repeatedly. Steinem said with bewilderment, “I mean, Hello?, this is supposed to be a qualification to be president? I don’t think so.”

Steinem, whose only act of heroism that I am aware of, was to submit to her third face-lift, went on to laud Clinton with the following…

I am so grateful that Hillary Clinton hasn’t been trained to kill anybody.

Another liberal-leftist attack on an American soldier and courage in combat in general.

In Liberal Land it works kinda like this:

Bill Clinton - Vietnam + Draft Dodging War Protester = Standing up for values

John Kerry + Vietnam + War Protester = Hero

George W. Bush + National Guard Service + Fake Documents = AWOL Draft Dodger

Hillary Clinton + Marriage Certificate = Experience

Obama + Flowery Speech + Dark Skin Color = Candidate of “Hope”

John McCain + Vietnam + POW = War Monger

I am not a fan of of McCain but the Hypocrisy of the Left is so bright it’s blinding!!!!

BTW….I certainly hope nobody accuses me of being a “Racist” for pointing out that a white candidate with Obama’s lack of qualifications and his ability to speak in public wouldn’t have made it past Iowa.  I have black folks in my family and I was raised in a black neighborhood.

Racial identity politics at its best.  Condi Rice is also black, but she is extremely well educated, articulate, AND QUALIFIED, yet blacks can’t stand her.

So they identify with a silver spooned black lawyer from Harvard who has no real experience, but they hate a National Security Advisor turned Secretary of State who is not only black, she is a woman.

I guess just being black isn’t enough.  You have to be black and offer free shit to black people.  Cue Jesse and Al.

I guess the logic here was to show the democrats that the Clinton campaign will be better at personal attacks against J Mac in the general election run for President.

With less than two days left before the polls open in Texas, Ohio, Vermont, and Rhode Island where HRC could be sent packing by Obama, I think a better appeal could be made to support her.

Rebutting what Obama said yesterday in Youngstown, last week in Waco, or last month in Maryland may have made more sense.

“I mean, Hello?, this is supposed to be a qualification to be president?.”

No, but it does not hurt him.

Gloria Steinem’s comments regarding John McCain’s military service & capture go a long way in taking Feminism ten steps backward. I think she also poorly reflects on the mind set of Hillary supporters. Her comments were outrageous, disrespectful, and totally out of touch with reality. Why does anyone print what Steinem says anymore ?

Steinem’s tripe is made public and her rhetoric is published because she fits the lib agenda and brings out the wrath of those who cling tenaciously to sanity and sense of value - neither of which she can claim.

Yeah, and it about time GS and her nut-job feminist’s take one straight up the ass since their skulls are immune and and gag on anything that is shoved down their throats unless it comes from Bill Clinton’s pants..

Gloria Steinem makes me embarrassed to be a woman.  Thanks for making all women look bad.  You ass.

Condi Rice may be all you say she is. But I would not want her leading this country. Her legacy is that of being a mouthpiece for the Bush Administration. Her accomplishments as Secretary of State are nil. When she speaks, she uses big words that mean nothing and she always sounds like a politician. She reminds me of the uppity geeks in school who felt they were above the rest of us. What makes her QUALIFIED?

Being a POW does not qualify McCain for President. It shows a lot of guts and perseverance. I am sure there were many other POWs who were imprisoned as long as, if not longer than, McCain. You must look at the whole man. John McCain is a hawk. Just what the Republican party loves. Just how much of your tax dollars and children’s lives do you want to expend fighting “enemies” created by an assinine right wing foreign policy. We are no more safer today than we were on 9/11. Yes we spent billions of dollars on “state of the art” facilities and created huge bureauracies. We even built that totally ridiculous 700 mile fence. But the Republican party has convinced those of simple minds that this has made us more secure. McCain would continue this farce. The only people who are more secure are the cronies and defense contractors who pocketed the money.

Watashita: I’ll leave most of this crap to others; but I want you to now I do not support McCain, I think he is not a real conservative, I oppose much of the legislation he passed that was too liberal and his relationship with Ted “I kill my dates” that drunken, fat old sot Kennedy. However, it wasn’t guts in the normal sense of the word or perseverance in its normal usage. He endured physical torture far, far beyond what most human beings could ever endure. The physical pain was often like having an impacted molar pulled out with pliers without any anesthetic, nails pulled out one by one and much, and much worse. Believe it or not worse than the physical pain was to be in solitude for prolonged periods without any hope, living like a rat in a sewer, eating garbage, sleeping in your own body fluids and worse. Then, at home his body healed, but his mind was tormented and remains tormented by what he could have only hoped were nightmares, but he was awake. So, please I just want you to know that no other human being can ever understand what he suffered because he was an American.

Bill Clinton presided over the first World Trade Center bombings, the 1996 Khobar Towers bombing, the 1998 Embassy bombings, and the 2000 USS Cole attacks.  The latter three of these were large scale coordinated attacks that were well planned by an organized and well funded Al Qaeda.

I do not in any way believe that the threat posed by Al Qaeda and splinter groups is anywhere near as great today as it was in January 2001 or in September 2001.  Al Qaeda has major funding restrictions, major recruiting issues, has lost almost their entire safe haven of terror training, has lost most of their communications network, has lost almost all of their high ranking officers, has lost their freedom of movement and operation, and is for the most part bogged down in wars in Afghanistan and Iraq that they are losing.  They are also losing the hearts and minds of both the Iraqis and the Afghanis due to their extreme brutality when they were in charge.

It is usually the mantra of the left to more or less imply that Condi’s extensive qualifications are overwhelmed by being a puppet of Bush.  The actual term that the left likes to use for Condi is “house nigga”, so you are welcome to use the term that Ted Rall of the Washington Post uses in his cartoons.  Is that what you want to say?  Let me make sure I am reading your comments and those of Ted Rall correctly:

Her legacy is that of being a mouthpiece for the Bush Administration. Her accomplishments as Secretary of State are nil. When she speaks, she uses big words that mean nothing and she always sounds like a politician.

She uses them big words the massahs be usin’ up in da house ‘cause she jussa house nigga.  Try saying that shit about Obama.  But the left can imply that about Condi, Powell, Clarence Thomas, Michael Steele… the list goes on.  If a black is a Republican, they ain’t smart enough to do things on their own.  They are told what to think by their masters in the house.

We see how enlightened the left is.  This is the kind of stuff that they say about blacks, when it happens that Condi is about 5x the Secretary of State that Albright was.  The only person in the clinton inner circle of power that was African American was Vernon Jordan and that was because he was a clean up lawyer in the Monica scandal.  Howard Dean, John Kerry, Hillary… they have no use and no respect for blacks.  That is why they have very little to do with them except to occasionally race bait with Jackson and Sharpton.

A black woman that rises to be the first black woman secretary of state or a black man that becomes a Supreme Court Justice… those are great accomplishments.  These are great people.  Regardless of their political beliefs.  They are the pinnacle of their professions and should be role models.  They are accomplished and have done as much or more than a couple of Democrat lawyers that became Senators based on name recognition (Clinton) and the Chicago political machine.

That is Zapp Brannigan of the spaceship Nimbus.  One of my favorite shows on television along with Arrested Development (deceased), Family Guy, Andy Richter Controls the Universe (deceased), Breaking Bad (brand new and exceptional), Battlestar Galactica, among others.  If any of the following are on, I pretty much watch them.  But Futurama might be my favorite.  It is sad that so few folks have seen most of the above and that all either languished in the ratings or we close to cancelled.

Watch Futurama on Comedy Central at 9:00PM and buy the new DVD coming out on March 17th.
