Getting Healthcare Right
I think if we didn’t have our conservative heads up our butts we MIGHT want to take a look at how other countries do Healthcare right.
I don’t want nationalized healthcare, I do want healthcare that works. In Practicality I have no healthcare. I can no longer afford it and that is why this matters. If there is no possible way to access the best healthcare system in the world (which the USA probably has) it is effectively nonexistent for me and many Americans if it is financially out of reach.
If gasoline was a thousand dollars a gallon and you owned a suburban you might be able to buy a little gas now and then but in reality you don’t have transportation even if you own a vehicle and gasoline is available. In Practicality you are without transportation even though you have the best car in the world when gasoline is a thousand dollars a gallon.
You are without wheels - from a practical standpoint.
I am without healthcare - from a practical standpoint.
This is why we will have national healthcare. If Rob can be for Gay Marriage, I can be for National Healthcare. I am. NOW, if some wise conservatives would get in the mix and begin to help craft this thing we might not have to fix it up later. Back in Feb of 2008 I posted on this BLOG that if we didn’t get this one issue right we would lose the election and the system the Libs would cram down our throats would choke us. Well, we didn’t and now we are going to choke. Thanks to the big talkers on radio and tv for nothing. How about a solution instead of noise?
Here’s an article that helps explain the facts of how some systems work without the scare tactics from talk radio about Canada and Great Britain.
This is fully dysfunctional. Time to make it work.
We missed our chance because we are so tone deaf as conservatives. I’m frustrated with the whole mess.
