Found! The reason for liberalism

Tell me I’m not the first to be posting on this topic.  It’s so readily apparent, it’s essentially a no-brainer (no pun intended)

Liberals, as they are so affectionately known, are really just mad.  Barking- at-the-moon insane.  At least according to Dr. Lyle H. Rossiter Jr.

A doctor who is certified both in general and forensic psychiatry and has diagnosed and treated mental disorders for more than 40 years now has revealed, in his new book, ”The Liberal Mind,” the real reason for liberalism, and it is this week’s top pick at Shop.WND.com.

Dr. Lyle H. Rossiter Jr. says the reason modern liberals think and act as they do is psychopathology.

Rossiter’s analysis discusses modern liberalism’s assaults on the freedom of adults to make good lives for themselves by cooperating with others, the ability of families to raise children to be self-reliant and mutual and the morals, rights and laws that protect our freedoms.

Modern liberalism’s irrationality can only be understood as the product of psychopathology, he concludes. So extravagant are the patterns of thinking, emoting, behaving and relating that characterize the liberal mind that its relentless protests and demands become understandable only as disorders of the psyche.

The book reveals the “madness” of the modern liberal for what it is: a massive transference neurosis acted out in the world’s political arenas, with devastating effects on the institutions of liberty.

Those haunting questions that have troubled so many: Are liberals out of their minds? and Why do modern liberals think and act as they do? now can be answered, Rossiter notes.

This book is the first systematic analysis of the political madness that now threatens to destroy the West’s greatest achievement: the American dream of civilized liberty, the description notes.

So if you’ve wondered why I don’t engage the Leftists on the blog very often, it’s because long ago I determined that anyone who is a Leftist is either: a) incredibly naive; b) incredibly stupid; c) inherently evil; or d) insane.

To argue against one is an argument directed at a barking dog, a madman, or a drunkard.  You assume that your words will be processed and counter- arguments offered.

You assume wrongly.

Cogent counter-arguments from a Leftist are more rare than hens’ teeth, because if they were logical, they would not be Leftists.

Leftists are not motivated by logic, nor are instructed by the lessons of history.

Instead they are motivated by deeply-felt emotions: fear, hate, envy and misdirected empathy

This is not to say they cannot have great education and advanced degrees.  Yet these educations and advanced degrees utterly fail them when it comes to processing the simple lessons of history that have unfolded since the first blood spattered across the scaffolds of the French Revolution.

They will not, indeed cannot, acknowledge the repeated failures of Socialism, Communism, Liberalism and all the Statist -isms that are off-shoots of the writings of Marx, Lenin, Gramsci and the like.

Liberalism, as it is currently known, is a descent into madness.

As someone else said, it’s like wrestling with a pig- it does no good, all you get is filthy, and sooner or later you realize, the pig LIKES it.

Great article. The defining thing about liberals of every ilk (socialist, Marxist, etc.) is their need to use force over voluntary cooperation. Free markets work through voluntary cooperation. Governments trump the markets and freedom with the use of force (all government works by force and the threat of violence).

This is the key to the liberal personality. Liberals have a (perhaps subconscious) need to use force and violence upon other individuals, ultimately revealing a sadomasochistic component.
