Fort Hood: It Happened On Obama’s Watch
By now, everyone is familiar with the famous/infamous [depending on your politics] photo of President Bush seconds after receiving the news of the 9/11 attack.
In the years following that terrible event, the liberal left mocked the President again and again for seeming perplexed.
Worse, he was blamed for an event which was actually years in the planning, but which occured on his watch, 8 months into his presidency.
Under remarkably similar circumstances, another Muslim extremist attack has just occured, this time on President Obama’s watch, just 10 months into his presidency. His reaction was equally awkward.
Likewise, there is mounting evidence that a number of agencies under Obama’s supervision knew some time ago that something was amiss with Major Hassan.
Is Obama any more culpable than President Bush? No. Is he any less culpable? No.
As Harry Truman once said, “The buck stops here.”
Unlike Bush, will Obama get yet another pass from a fawning main-stream media? Time will tell.
