fall field checks

The North Dakota Game and Fish Department’s law enforcement division will conduct game check stations this fall in an effort to ensure hunter compliance.

Robert Timian, enforcement chief, said check stations will be held in a number of locations across the state. “We will be set up near fields, on roadways and in airports,” he said.

Hunters should double-check the regulations to make sure they are doing everything legal, especially proper identification and procedures for transporting game, and knowing the daily and possession limits.

“Hunters shouldn’t be surprised by these, as organized check stations are conducted every fall,” Timian said. “Just be prepared and abide by the rules.”
