Eisenhower Was Right

It is a matter of history that when Supreme Commander of the Allied Forces, General Dwight Eisenhower, found the victims of the death camps, he ordered all possible photographs to be taken, and for the German people from surrounding villages to be ushered through the camps and even made to bury the dead.

He did this because he said in words to this effect: ‘Get it all on record now - get the films - get the witnesses - because somewhere down the track of history some b*stard will get up and say that this never happened‘ ‘All that is necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing’
Edmund Burke

This week, the UK removed The Holocaust from its school curriculum because it ‘offended’ the Muslim population which claims it never occurred.

This is a frightening portent of the fear that is gripping the world and how easily each country is giving in to it. It is now more than 60 years after the Second World War in Europe ended.

This message is being sent as a memorial in memory of the six million Jews, 20 million Russians, 10 million Christians and 1,900 Catholic priests who were murdered, massacred, raped, burned, starved and humiliated with the German and Russian peoples looking the other way! Now, more than ever, with Iran, among others, claiming the Holocaust to be ‘a myth,’ it is imperative to make sure the world never forgets.

Shameful.

What’s going to happen to US industry when the global warming extremists like John McCain double the price of electricity?  I would think all these factories will close and set up in countries where they aren’t scared of technology.

Great post, Neiman. Even though I am a long time lefty, I always had a great deal of respect and admiration for Ike. use to drive by Ike’s birthplace (house)
back when I was stationed in the Air Force in Denison, Texas.

Nice post, Neiman.

What’s the source you have that the UK has removed the Holocaust from schools?

dirl126 on May 25, 2008 at 03:07 pm

What Muslim officiary or organization declares it never existed?

I know you have the sources too!  I would not expect nothing less than that from you Neiman. : )

Those that learn nothing about the mistakes and transgressions of the past are destin to repeat them.  Rewriting history to eliminate the diacomfort of past atrocities is a good way of guaranteeing that they will happen again in the future.

Nice post. No link about the British censoring accusation… can we get one?

Thanks.

Your website talks about the UK removing Holocaust from its curriculum.

However, the second post on your link identifies the UK as the University of Kentucky, not the United Kingdom.  I think I require a more authoritative source.

Lestat
The website debunks the ‘myth’ that the ‘UK’ has stopped teaching the holocaust. That is all.

dirl126: I had a British Press reference (link), but I am embarassed to say I have searched and searched since you asked for it and cannot find it, I sincerely apologize to everyone. I usually include the link and I cannot explain my omiting it this time. It was from the British media, I simply took their information.

I can only add that whether a school or district banned teaching of the holocaust or not, Eisnhower’s words in the face of all the holocaust deniers on the world stage today, still have merit.

Again my apologies to all for losing my reference.

A BBC post says that the Holocaust Ban in British Schools is a hoax.

But, I too remember seeing or hearing something about this months ago.

Sparkless: It was not an email! I have already apologized for sloppily not including the link and not being able to find it? What else will it take to satisfy your hate filled mind? I was responsible for providing the source for attribution and this time, without meaning to I failed.

Pparets: Thank you, but I am responsible to provide attribution and I was sloppy this time and paid for it by givinga ammunition to my enemy and the enemy of America on the Left. I make mistakes on occasion, unlike others here! I can only say I had a link and got the information there, but lost it for some damn reason!

snopes says it’s an hoax. Unlike most hoaxes it sounds like something that might happen.

Unfortunately, as I want to always be honest, I turned off my computer and was very troubled because I forgot where I gotten that story and because I had been surfing the internet quite actively, including some British news sites; because of what Sparkless said I turned my computer back on went back to sent email messages and the subject line was not obvious which is why I missed it before, but in fact this thread was from an email. I was confused about where I got it and made an error and because I thought I had found this story in another place, I compounded my mistake.

I most sincereley apologize, it was not deliberate on my part, but an honest mistake wherein I did not remember the source and was confused up until I turned my computer back on and checked my email more carefully. I am very sorry. I will try and be more careful in the future.

Nonetheless, take out the link, take out that the Holocaust may not have been taken out of the curriclum and considering the holocaust deniers around the world today, the advice given in the thread, attributed to Eisenhower is still worthwhile, despite my admitted error in this matter.

Now Sparkless and others are free to attack me, I deserve it on this occasion. Mea culpa, mea culpa, I am in sackcloth and ashes, flagellating myself and hoping his holiness Lord Sparkless will forgive me.

Neiman, you’ve responded to your mistake honorably and honestly.

Hey we all make mistakes, the important thing is to admit it as quickly as possible.

Too bad we have no pictures of the seven million Ukranians murdered by one liar, Joseph Stalin and covered up by another liar, Walter Duranty

One was a communist and the other a reporter for the New York Times.

Then maybe we could get some pictures of the communist chinese killing millions by another liar Mao Zedong with the “great leap forward.”

It helps to keep things in perspective when liberals wring their hands because a drop of water fell on a book or that another book is located in a school library.  tut tut
