Earl Pomeroy: Bad News for North Dakota

I was drinking my coffee and getting ready to look over the NHL scores, when I read the little editorial from Earl Pomeroy (D-North Dakota, D-San Francisco) and almost spit my coffee all over the room.
I had to double check my paper and make sure I didn’t have a copy of “The Onion” and not the Fargo Forum. Nope, it was the Forum and the editorial was credited to our own Earl Ralph Pomeroy. Pomeroy was talking about energy. If you had put Newt Gingrich in the byline, you would have thought it was his article. In effect, Earl was doing his best Pinnochio impersonation yet once again.
I’m not going to go through each point and bore you or make you go throw up, but I am going to say that editorials and tall tales from our elected officials should be attacked by the same media that attacked Sarah Palin’s daughter. Earl Pomeroy for energy? Ha ha, that is a joke. Earl Pomeroy for coal? American oil? Nope, Earl’s voting record betrays him. Six times in the last two years he voted against America, North Dakota, and energy. Let me write that again, six times in the last two years. Earl Pomeroy is no friend of American energy independence. Earl Pomeroy is no friend of clean coal, cheap gas, or cheap energy period. Putting up a billboard with a windmill on it doesn’t mean he is an advocate of cheap energy. People we are in crisis mode. Here’s why (oh and Earl Pomeroy, the only Congressman we can vote out this year has a hand in all of them):
1. Six votes in last two years against energy (oil, coal, etc.). A strong North Dakota energy policy and a strong American energy policy will push our economy through the roof. It will employ people and have a trickle effect over the entire state. High paying jobs will result. Pomeroy blindly follows Nancy Pelosi and votes against cheap and affordable energy. Why would someone from North Dakota be against coal?
2. 2nd Amendment. People in this state need to hunt. It helps our farmers manage their land and it feeds many of us. Pomeroy had an F from the NRA not that long ago and he is friends with anti 2nd Amendment people like Nancy Pelosi and Barney Frank. No one should think he won’t side with them if they ever make a push on the 2nd Amendment.
3. Democrats and Republicans all agree that Social Security is in the toilet and one second away from being flushed. Time and again, men and women from both sides of the aisle have warned about it and attempted to fix it. Time and again the Ways and Means Committee with such luminaries as Charles Rangel and Earl Pomeroy have put a monkey wrench in it. The people who watched our economy meltdown should not be in charge of Social Security. Earl Pomeroy in charge of Social Security should send a chill down everyone’s spine. It is a recipe for disaster.
4. Pomeroy and the economy. The White House and others warned that Fannie and Freddie were in trouble. Earl Pomeroy, Chris Dodd, and Barney Frank ignored it. Guess what happened? We lost 20% in our 401K’s. Earl? No worries, he gets money from Fannie, Freddie, and AIG. Yep, our Congressman gets money from them. He’s set, no worries at all.
Earl Pomeroy having a say in Social Security or our economy is extremely troubling. He tells tall tales about his energy position because he is nervous about Duane Sand’s popularity in this state. He robbed Sand’s position after he called people who advocated for lower taxes and an intelligent energy policy names. He called people in his own state names? Who does that? Oh, my bad, Earl does.
Earl Pomeroy is all over the map. He brings home pork that we pay for and he makes deals with other Democrat porkers so we can pay their pork as well. Think about that when you’re stressing out Christmas shopping this year.
If you love North Dakota and its economy, please do not vote for Earl Pomeroy. Go to opensecrets.org and see for yourself. This guy is a danger to our economy. Help North Dakota. Help your parents, grandparents, and children. Help yourself. Do not vote for this man. He doesn’t respect you. Read what he says about energy and see how he votes. See what he says about the 2nd Amendment and see who he is friends with. Try to find a time he told us who pays for the pork he brings home. He doesn’t do that because he wants us to think its for free. Nothing is free. A four year old knows that.
Earl Pomeroy, the lies and the twisting of reality needs to stop. You need your pink slip. You and your allies Barney Frank and Nancy Pelosi do not represent the values of this great state. We need change and we need it fast. I want to be able to retire by the time I’m 98, so please vote Duane Sand this year. Honesty, hard work, ethics...we need Duane Sand.
