Dinosaurs set to walk the Earth again

Shocking discovery!

One hundred million years BC, dinosaurs roamed the earth and they might be about to do so again!

In a remarkable discovery that is about to turn the world of science on its head, the fossilized bones of a dinosaur have been discovered languishing in the vaults of a British museum.

Prehistoric Studies has recently unearthed the bones and declared them to be that of the Ichtyosaurus family.

Professor Ignatius Potherington, responsible for the re-discovery of the bones, believes the finding will enable scientists to reconstruct genetic history by splicing the DNA and injecting it into a modern day reptile.

Still with me??
“We now have the pieces of the puzzle,” said Professor Potherington. “I believe we can extract the DNA of the Ichtyosaurus or Ospyla Florida, and be able to reconstruct its genes into say, an alligator or crocodile and reconstruct a prehistoric dinosaur.”

The Ichtyosaurus was common around much of the world during the Jurassic Period (middle dinosaur era). Based on the fossils’ locations in Florida, the dinosaurs may have been semi-aquatic freshwater reptiles that evolved into crocodile dinosaurs with hind legs strong enough to walk on and feed from orange trees. Despite its size, the Ichtyosaurus’ massive jaws and jagged teeth are believed to have made it a fearsome predator.

“The consequences of this discovery are quite astounding,” says Professor Potherington. “Crocodiles are unquestionably related to dinosaurs. This discovery enables us to potentially re-create a whole species of prehistoric dinosaur. It’ll be the biggest scientific discovery since man landed on the moon and potentially, they could make great household pets.”

If you believe that, you’re a bigger fool than I!

Wow! I so thought this was going to be a story about Ted Kennedy and Robert Byrd!

For any voter trying to choose between the two candidates for commander in chief, there is no better test than this: When American strategy in a critical theater was up for grabs, John McCain proposed a highly unpopular and risky path, which he accurately predicted could lead to success. Barack Obama proposed a popular and politically safe route that would have led to an unnecessary and debilitating American defeat at the hands of al Qaeda.

I just can’t get over the incongruity of describing this prehistoric creature as having legs strong enough to “feed from orange trees”, which are not native to Florida, and at the same time having “massive jaws and jagged teeth” that would have made it “a fearsome predator”.  A fearsome predator of orange trees?

If life doesn’t begin at conception, why do they call it birth control?

...and on April Fool’s Day, too!

I figured something strange was up.

"The national budget must be balanced. The public debt must be reduced; the arrogance of the authorities must be moderated and controlled. Payments to foreign governments must be reduced if the nation doesn’t want to go bankrupt. People must again learn to work, instead of living on public assistance.”
