On July 15, 2009 The Whistler posted a piece titled Dick Morris: Obamas Healthcare Will Ruin Seniors’ Medicare..
In that post I called Dick Morris a hack and a book peddler, who is devoid of facts.
The Whistler said this: “Nice refutation of the obvious fact that they will have to take away services from seniors.
This is the kind of cutting edge response we expect from you E.”
Bat One attempted to ridicule me by saying that… “ellinas,
Your question is gratuitous… an inferential attack on the source of the analysis rather than a refutation of what was said.
Paul Krugman is an economist and a Nobel prize winner to boot, yet his economic analysis and fiscal policy prescriptions have been horribly wrong for years.
Why don’t you try focusing on whether or not what Morris wrote is the truth, instead of whether or not he is (in your mind) qualified to write it.”
And this from Bat One: “Bravo! Not especially imaginative, and certainly not at all authoritative. But honest nonetheless.Of course .............. But those are just pesky facts, right, E?”
And my good friend Kenny said this among other things: “Here’s the facts of the article. Since you pretend there were none:...... Limited colonoscopies have led to a 25% higher rate of colon cancer and a ban on the use of the two best chemotherapies are part of the reason why 42% of Canadians with colon cancer die while 31% of Americans, who have access to these two medications, survive the disease.
A little analysis is in order: 42% percent of the Canadians with colon cancer die.
Now if only 31% of Americans with access to the two medications that are banned in Canada survive, that means that 69% die.
Who are you gonna trust. The hack called Dick Morris,his defender Bat One who sometimes talks out of his ass, The whistler that did not check the facts, or the numbers I am presenting you with.
My challenge to you all. Crunch the numbers for yourselves.
