Council acts to force Kilpatrick out

The Detroit City Council launched a historic effort Tuesday to pry Mayor Kwame Kilpatrick from office, approving—by a single vote—a two-front strategy for removal: asking the governor to oust the mayor while beginning its own effort to unseat him.

Adding to the drama was Councilwoman JoAnn Watson’s post-vote wavering, as she made a last-ditch effort to persuade the mayor to resign. But when Kilpatrick—and then his lawyer—said he would not, Watson returned to council chambers to affirm her votes for removal.

Well, it does say something when about half of the Democrats finally get that there is something wrong with “lying about sex.”

I’m confused.  This seems to be a story based on merits rather than party affiliation.

Good riddance to non-recyclable garbage.

That’s too bad. The thug Kwame Kilpatrick was reelected after getting caught stealing city funds for personal use. The lying, two-bit, Democrat thug is a good representation for Detroit. They deserve him.

Detroit is the Democrat “Great Society”.

This is all “reality based”.

Murder, poverty, hopelessness, theft, high school dropouts, unchanging, decay, abandoned skyscrapers = the solutions of the “Democratic” (except when they count their delegates) Party.

Yeah, but it’s still cut and paste. bob can’t bring himself to say bad things (i.e. tell the truth) about Democrats!

For any voter trying to choose between the two candidates for commander in chief, there is no better test than this: When American strategy in a critical theater was up for grabs, John McCain proposed a highly unpopular and risky path, which he accurately predicted could lead to success. Barack Obama proposed a popular and politically safe route that would have led to an unnecessary and debilitating American defeat at the hands of al Qaeda.

There was a time when the “sound” of Detroit was Motown… not gunfire.
