Children As Criminals

Recently there was a story in the news where children aged 8-10 (2 girls and 1 boy) were accused of plotting to harm their 3rd grade teacher because she yelled at one of them for standing on a chair. This happened in Waycross, Ga. The children brought duct tape, handcuffs and a kitchen knife to school to carry out the attack. Other students were to act as lookouts. School officails discovered the plot and called the police. Personally, I think this was the wrong approach. This is a situation which should have been handled by the school administration, the parents and possibly social services. This may have come as a shock to all the adults involved. Many parents are totally unaware of what is going on with there children, and their peers, until something like this happens. The students should have been reprimanded and suspended for a period of time. The parents should take care of disciplining their kids. I hope that they have a two parent household. If the situation warrants it, counselling is an option. We should not be turning all our problems with our kids over to the police. It is time for parents to act like parents and put an end to this atrocious behavior among our people.

Today on FOX the detective intimated this was a murder plot and you want them given a good talking to and a light suspension? You know nothing about what is happening in our schools today IMO!

No matter the age or state of health, for a military man it is always glorious to tilt at windmills, rescue a fair Dulcinea and be a gallant knight in armor in a glorious cause.

Too many crimes get sent to the police, but planning a murder isn’t one of them.

It’s sad but our kids aren’t always kids anymore.

What’s going to happen to US industry when the global warming extremists like John McCain double the price of electricity?  I would think all these factories will close and set up in countries where they aren’t scared of technology.
