charged for shooting a squirrel
In New Jersey a man is facing multiple charges after he had enough of his neighbor’s squirrel feeding and began shooting the pesky rodents with a BB pistol. After his neighbor called the police, Jason Needham, 48, was subsequently charged with disorderly conduct and criminal mischief. Not to be outdone, the Monmouth County SPCA got into the act, and filed animal cruelty charges against Needham for shooting at pigeons and squirrels. Each charge carries a maximum $1,000 fine and up to six months in jail. In the Asbury Park Press.
