Celebrity Endorsements

Writing at Human Events, celebrity game show host, Pat Sajak had this to say,

… the idea of choosing the Leader of the Free World based on the advice of someone who lives in the cloistered world of stardom seems a bit loony to me…

I suppose anything that gets people engaged in the political process is a good thing, but the idea that a gold record, a top-ten TV show or an Oscar translates into some sort of political wisdom doesn’t make much sense to me. Trust me, one’s view of the world isn’t any clearer from the back seat of a limo.

Sajak is obviously a very wise man (his IQ was once reported to be in the lower 140s, I believe).  Read the whole thing.

Reagan didn’t do too bad.

Choosing the leader of the free world from among the members of an entrenched government when things are going from bad to worse is what’s loony. It’s like recruiting cops from San Quentin residents.

Reagan didn’t do too bad.

A gross understatement.  He rescued us from the Carter economic and foreign policy debacles and defeated the Soviet Union, while you lefties were quaking in fear, predicting he was starting WWIII.  Nice.

Save America; boycott the MSM.

"going from bad to worse”, care to expand upon what it is that your party, the Democrat Party, is doing to make things worse?

As for Sajak, a very smart man, he has resisted being drawn into any politics over the years. Vanna, not so much.
