Bob Dole To Rush: Cool It!

In a cordial but cautionary letter, retired senator and former presidential candidate Bod Dole (R) of Kansas, reminded Rush Limbaugh that Senator John McCain was a dependable conservative and that two Clintons in the White House must not happen. The message was implied but clear: stop your personal attacks on the leading candidate.

Dole joins a growing chorus of citizens, commentators, party members, conservatives and pundits who say enough is enough.

pparents you seem to be a shill for the RINO’s, McCain is a bad choice for the president and it would make no difference really if he or Clinton was in office. All your going to get is more liberalism. Conservatives don’t compromise with leftards like Kennedy and Finegold.

If I was Liimbaugh I would tell Dole to go pound sand up his ass. It’s called free speech. The left leaning right needs to get over it. I suppose your also upset because Hanity and Ingram(sp) have basically been supporting Romney.

Goon: Please tell me how you got from Pparets comments above, basically reporting some interesting facts, to calling him a shill for the RINO’s, it went right over my head!

No matter the age or state of health, for a military man it is always glorious to tilt at windmills, rescue a fair Dulcinea and be a gallant knight in armor in a glorious cause.

Goon: It comes down to this. Who would you rather have as Commander In Chief in the war on terrorist jihad? Who would you rather have selecting the next 2 or 3 Supreme Court justices? John McCain or Hillary/Obama?

Yes. I am a shill; a shill for the safety of the republic; nothing more.

You keep asking this as if there’d be any substantial difference.

On the war, they’d be identical. Close Gitmo, give terrorists access to our courts and our constitutional protections. Both would leave troops in Iraq.

And both would appoint liberal judges.

This is not an argument for McCain.

For the first time in my adult life, I am ashamed of my country.

Pparents is the guy that was saying it was bad for the talk show hosts to comment on the candidates, perferably the RINO’s trying to pose as real republicans in other posts, he was upset because RUSH and Hannity et al were taking McCain and Huckabee to task for not being real conservatives, now he reals this one out.

All you have to do is look at McCain’s record and he is no friend to conservative views. In a gernal election I don’t see him winning nor do I see me voting for anyone.

Why won’t I vote for him?
Shamest, McCain Fiengold close Gitmo, I bet he is also for Habeous Corpus right for Terrorist. He is Ted Kennedy light.

The biggest irony here is that de facto Romney is more liberal than McCain, 100% less trustworthy than McCain.

Rush Limbaugh for that matter has been exercising a program of deception on McCain.  I don’t give a shit because I don’t have any higher regard for Limbaugh than a three-toed sloth, but it is interesting how many people gobble up the swill that Limbaugh shovels.

Limbaugh:

“I think McCain has an animus toward the Republican Party. I think ever since South Carolina 2000 he’s had it in for the Republican Party, and one of his objectives is to destroy it and change it.

Anybody who really believes this, and I don’t think Limbaugh does, needs a brain transplant.

Goon: Wrong! I never said it was bad for talk show hosts to comment on candidates. I said it was troubling that they wage a relentless campaign, day after day, in an effort to sway the outcome of the SC and Florida primaries. Nor am I the only one who has said that.

If your going to kick my ass, at least kick it in the right place!

McCain has been “a dependable conservative”?

Umm...okay.

You might as well call Reagan a Marxist while you’re at it.

Carrick - Anybody who really believes this, and I don’t think Limbaugh does, needs a brain transplant.

I guess I need a brain transplant then. I see that McCain is always “reaching out”, except to other conservatives. I see that conservatives are the ones who McCain saves his harshest criticism for.

likwidshoe on February 6, 2008 at 07:15 am

Likwidshoe, so you think McCain has an animus towards the Republican party and is trying to destroy it?

That’s the part that indicates a need for a brain transplant.

I can see things that people could object to about McCain, but 90% of what people have been saying, such as this excerpt from Rush, is just mindless bullshit.

Carrick on February 6, 2008 at 07:20 am

Likwidshoe, so you think McCain has an animus towards the Republican party and is trying to destroy it?

He has an animus towards conservatism and he is one of those who are trying to destroy the old Republican party of Reagan (almost there) and change it towards one that is palatable to him and his socialist views.

That’s the part that indicates a need for a brain transplant.

Well, thanks. Thinking that a guy who is called a RINO by most conservatives is trying to change the Republican party must mean that I need a brain transplant. How,...absolutely scholarly of you Carrick!
