blowing in the wind

Here’s a long but worthwhile read on what people with windmills in their back yard think about them.

But what this brawny 48-year-old farmer’s son hates most about the windmills is that his father, who owns much of the property, signed a deal with the wind company to allow seven turbines on Yancey land.

“I was sold out by my own father,” he sputters.

What a whiner.  If you don’t like what your father did with his own property than move.  His father didn’t sell him out, he managed his own property.

Having washed cabbages with cold water in a snowy winter field then loaded 100 lb sacks of them into a tractor trailer,
windmills sound sweet.
