Arrest Warrant For Capt. Jamil Hussein

The Iraqi Government has issued a warrant for the arrest of an apparently very real Capt. Hussein, the subject of much wailing and gnashing of teeth on some conservative blogs I frequent.

Does this mean that the big trip to Iraq is off?

Comments

During Saddam Hussein’s rule, information in Iraq had been fiercely controlled by the Information Ministry, but after the arrival of U.S. troops in 2003 and during the transition to an elected government in 2004, many police such as Hussein felt freer to talk to journalists and give information as it occurred.

I remember that bafoon that said Baghdad Bob that said there are no US military/armor in the city of Baghdad and you see a US armored vehicle go by behind him. That is about how credible this Jamal Hussien is.

goon--- nice analogy.  It is past time that the MSM become much more credible.  What did they say?  Integrity?  Lies?  They know no shame.

Any judge can issue a warrant; have they caught him yet?  None of this means anything yet.

Is there really someone by that name or is it a ruse?

MikeA: Ever hear of a “publicity stunt”?

r108...yes I have. What do you think of the fact that the mysterious Captain appears to exist after all? It’s quite a curious tale.

There are truths appropriate for children; truths that are appropriate for students; truths that are appropriate for educated adults; and truths that are appropriate for highly educated adults, and the notion that there should be one set of truths available to everyone is a modern democratic fallacy. It doesn’t work.”

If it’s a “publicity stunt”, that could mean it’s all BS; in other words, it’s not proof of existence.  BTW, what are the chances of finding a guy named “Jamil Hussein” in Iraq?  That doesn’t mean he’s the one who made all those “reports”, though, which is an entirely separate manner.  I regard this as “ass-covering” on someone’s part, at least so far.  If this guy was so available to make all those reports, why is he unavailable now?  Hmmmm....

Mike,

You are right.  The Interior Ministry does now confirm that Captain Jamil Gholaiem Hussein does exist.  He is an officer assigned to the Khadra police station.

So, now the question is, do we believe what the Iraqi government is saying on this or not.  Because if we don’t, we all know that once a lie comes out of somebody’s mouth, they are never reliable again.  At least that is what I’ve been told.

If you’ve been following the story you’d know that it’s been known that there’s been a Jamil Hussein who’s in the Iraqi police force.

On the other hand he’s stationed no where near the areas that the stories are coming from.

If you made up a source named John Jones and there turned out to be a guy with that name that wouldn’t prove a thing.

Or if he is their source then how does he knows what goes on miles away from his area of responsibility while the people that are stationed there know nothing about it.

What’s going to happen to US industry when the global warming extremists like John McCain double the price of electricity?  I would think all these factories will close and set up in countries where they aren’t scared of technology.
