wow, I finally know what I am, I am the angry white man, even though I do like Obama.,but everything else seems pretty dead on!!Like the article says, I am not racist, I do believe criminals shouldnt be the only ones with guns, welfare should be a safety net not a hammock, and I believe in defending my family and Country, which hasn’t changed after a little over a year in Iraq, up and down the roads there protectng convoys of supplies!!!

I must say that this is one of the best essays I have ever read. With a few exceptions it describes views and frustrations of the majority of men and women in the U.S. regardless of race.

Hubbell doesn’t mention it, but I believe you’d find that those Angry White Men are not only quite a sizable voting bloc, but also happen to own a substantial majority of the small businesses that provided over 90% of the nation’s net new jobs along with a majority of the privately-held firearms and a considerable portion of the public’s overall net wealth.

Not a group that a prudent, non leftwing PC candidate would wish to alienate.

You could have that Bill Cunningham guy read this thing or Limbaugh or Brent Bozell or Strom Thurman’s ghost. What a boon for the anti Hillary crowd. Show the world where you stand.

Please, please get this thing national attention. AWM needs its own Washington march.
I can see it now, a million man AWM march on Washington. That would raise some unique interest. Why not lapel pins with AWM flags. Or if that’s to “out of the closet” for the AWM posse, there could be a secret AWM organization. Perhaps some creative (but not metro) AWM could design an AWM robe. Maybe small groups of AWM could gather at night around nice tall campfires and tell stories about good times not forgotten.

I notice you’ve been doing an unusual amount of posting lately, both in the comments and in the Readers’ Blogs.  Are you really that concerned that the Democrats won’t win this November, are is it just that you’ve lost your job and have a lot of extra time on your hands.

Thanks for your concern B O, while I am optimistic about Dem gains in the house and senate and have hopes for the Dems chances to take back the WH, there is far too much time between then and now to make any Rod like predictions. But your McCain fellow is winning over the wingnuts and looking good, right? How’s his immunity plan go again?

And I have never been busier than in the last few months. In all I now have 27 homes underway and every time the phone rings it’s a new job offer.

I thought 1994 was the year of the Angry White Man.  I remember how the Assault Weapons Ban, along with a raft of other boneheaded moves finally pissed off enough AWM’s to motivate them to get out of their La-Z-Boys and vote for the Republican Freshman Class of 1994, shocking the snot out of the arrogant Dems.

Of course, back then, it was worthwhile, being an AWM since we had Conservatives to vote FOR.

Now?
