Abramoff Reports to Prison Tomorrow; Offers Testimony on Democratic Senators

From ABC News, Brian Ross and Rhonda Schwartz Report:

Convicted lobbyist Jack Abramoff is scheduled to report to federal prison tomorrow, over the objections of federal prosecutors who say they still need his help to pursue leads on officials he allegedly bribed.

Sources close to the investigation say Abramoff has provided information on his dealings with and campaign contributions and gifts to “dozens of members of Congress and staff,” including what Abramoff has reportedly described as “six to eight seriously corrupt Democratic senators.”

Read the whole thing.

Wonder what the coverage of this will look like?

Dorganoff?

What’s going to happen to US industry when the global warming extremists like John McCain double the price of electricity?  I would think all these factories will close and set up in countries where they aren’t scared of technology.

Wonder if Democrats will be as eager for all those investigations as earlier reported? Beware of glass houses?

Whistler, I was thinking the same thing.  I think Dorgan was way more involved with Abramoff then anyone has given him credit for.

I also see that he just got appointed to the Chairmanship of the Indian Affairs committee.

Well to be honest you and Brenarlo and I gave him a lot of credit for being tied up with Abramoff.

I wonder if they’ve got anything on McCain as he was also carrying Abramoff’s water in the Senate.

I even wrote some letters to the editor about it, but ND’s media wasn’t interested in investigating the matter.

I mean, the dude took payments from Abramoff people (he was less than truthful about that), he took favorable action for Abramoff clients and he headed up one of the committee investigating the matter.

If that’s not worth some scrutiny beyond “oh he gave the money back so it must be ok” I don’t know what is.

All the papers did was give him a soft-ball interview.
