BRILLIANT!! I am still trying to send those pictures to Gorilla. I will be posting pics of our dog, Gunther, who went on to that great deer run in the sky yesterday. I can do pics to here, but I can not get them to go with an email. Not sure why.

I’m so sorry about your Gunther.  It’s tough to lose a dog.  Heidi and Scruffy are my kids.

I have ten acres, complete with chickens, geese, ducks, rabbits, goats, cats, dogs, tractor, riding mower, and all sorts of tools and honey-do projects. Gorilla glue and duct tape are not options, they’re essential. I’m a fan.  BUT....I didn’t know that Gorilla Glue made their own duct tape. Thank you.

Grunt. Must have some. It’s a guy thing, I think. Grunt. Belch. Snort. Scratch.

Thanks, Ma! Gunther was much more Wifey’s dog, and she is a bit down. Our other dog, Tonka, is a bit lost and forlorn and the cats all seem subdued. Gunther cast a long and wide shadow, and we already miss her. Several friends have already put forward puppies.

We like Sheppard/Lab mixes, black and tan. A large, dark dog with upright ears is one of the best security systems you will ever have.

Extend my sympathy to your wife.  I got Heidi at the Humane Society so I don’t know how old she is.  I keep taking her to the vet to have her checked for aging.  So far her eyes are clear so she should have a while left.  E-mail me pictures of your animals.

I have five.  Two dogs, two birds and a horse.  Heidi, Scruffy, Pete Harleigh, and Hannag, and Chloe.

Sorry to hear about your dog.  They truly do become parts of our families.

What’s going to happen to US industry when the global warming extremists like John McCain double the price of electricity?  I would think all these factories will close and set up in countries where they aren’t scared of technology.

We like Sheppard/Lab mixes, black and tan. A large, dark dog with upright ears is one of the best security systems you will ever have.

We have two border collies. Really great dogs. Very smart. Sometimes I think they’re a little too smart. Good watch dogs, too. My place backs up to the Big Branch Marsh Wildlife Refuge. We have foxes, coyotes, and bobcats in the neighborhood and I’ve never lost any of my animals to predators. Good dogs.

Pil, my brothers over in Pearl River county say they are having a hell of a time with coyotes, wiping out all the small game and harrassing livestock. Up here we are killing hell out of them, I have got 5 so far this year. Once I am actively hunting I plan to push that number up.

Y’all need to do the same.

The coyotes actually wake us up a night when they howl in packs. I just found coyote scat about a hundred yards from my house, the first time I’ve seen it this close. A friend of mine wants to set up a blind and do some culling. It could be time. If it weren’t for my dogs I’d have probably lost some stock by now.

Hell, Pil, we just ride around and shoot them like groundhogs. Though they are becoming a bit more wary. All the farmers I know carry rifles on their tractors, the coyotes are not afraid of running machinery at all.

My Heidi is Border Collie and Australian Shepherd.  She is also very very smart.  When she needs water she brings me her dish.  If I’m not paying attention she heaves it at me.  She was abused and starving when I got her.  The vet thinks she has buckshot in her hind end.  She weighed 40 pounds then.  Now she weighs 75.  She’s the best dog ever.  She sleeps with me when hubby is gone.  She’s always right next to me.  And then there’s Scruffy.  She weighs 3 pounds 4 ounces.  She’s also very smart and has a very big ego.  She’s the boss of Heidi for sure.  She’s two years old.  When I got her her name was Mitzi but because she plays with Heidi and Heidi slobbers all over her she always looks Scruffy.  Even 15 minutes after a trip to the groomer.  But she’s a love.  If I’m sitting she’s in my lap.
