Cool looking car! Wonder what it would look like after a 5MPH crash?

The SAE sponsors an annual super mileage competition for high school and college students. A couple of years ago the tech college I went to prior to pursuing BSME had an entry that surpassed 1200 (one thousand two hundred, not a typo) mpg but, alas, it to had no extra room for golf clubs.

I don’t know the details behind it, but suspect it was built of materials suited for R/C model airplanes and doubt it’s top speed amounted to more that a few mph. Not practical, but quite an achievement none the less.

as a matter of fact, none of you bothered to do any research at all.  The website actually say’s that you can fit 2 golf bags in the trunk, it goes 85 MPH and they have exceeded most safety standards.  Feel free to look at the website. http://www.aptera.com/
